I was just listening to 610 sports talk with Reggie and Lopez. Neither one of them knew where UH was ranked in basketball. They both thought they dropped to #10. That to me is inexcusable. We have a nationally ranked team in basketball and we get this? Just awful.
People still listen to 610?

I do occasionally. This is why I don’t listen more often. This is called “not doing your job.”
I’m pretty sure many alums don’t know where their teams are ranked in mid December
We are still not even in conference play
Unless you’re top 3 at this point, then it’s going to fluctuate week by week
Matt Thomas knows where they are ranked…
I thought 610 was not allowed to talk about anything but Texans between August and January, I thought that was in their contract.
True but I think it’s inexcusable for the local talk show not to know where they’re ranked. It’s a click or two away. Ha It took me maybe 30 seconds to check that.
They probably know and were just trying to generate some outrage.
I mean I can’t stop you from punishing yourself by listening. I would recommend it though
Can we pin a thread to bash 610?
Isn’t Lopez an Aggie……ie, not versed in anything ![]()
Let me be clear, I don’t listen much. Also, I guarantee you if A$M were ranked in the top 10, he’d know exactly where they were!
John & Lance on 97.5 regularly show love to UH football and basketball, Ive seen John and several basketball games.
Not relevant to the original post.
Last I remember 610am became a one dimensional all Texans talk years ago. People like John McClain that know nothing but football would be on their…It’s been years since I’ve listened to 610. Many of them moved to 790am around 15 to 20 years ago or so…
I will occasionally listen to Matt Thomas on 790AM but that’s about it.
Not sure whatever happened to Charlie Palllolo. Talk radio isn’t what it used to be…
Too many options these days with all the podcasts…
I know Granato attends games but I’ve never seen him. Where does he usually sit?
Not sure, I have just seen him on the concourse. I have seen LZ a few times too. Pallilo used to be there a bunch, but I haven’t seen him lately.
Moving from H-Town to DFW, it really highlights how bad sports radio as a whole is in Houston. The Ticket is king, but The Fan still runs circles around 610 and 97.5. It’s sad that such a big market has such poor (relatively) radio talent.
Granato is a good guy. Much more in tune with the city.
I second this. The Ticket in DFW is on a whole other level. So much so, I still podcast them even though I care little about Dallas sports.
I know yall were hating on Matt Thomas before the TCU game like he wasn’t going to be at the game, I listened to the post game he was the spotter on the broadcast.
