I was never a big fan of Mack as UH’s AD and he continues to remind me why. So, he criticizes Dana for being upset that they had to travel all that way, only to have the game cancelled because they were afraid to play reserve linemen and take a probable loss. He complains about Dana making public statements while he himself does the same. I feel like Baylor is a wannabe Texas. I wouldn’t be surprised if he used this as the excuse to back out of the home and home.
One error is team did not travel to Waco. They were abt to get on the buses when they received word the game was being cancelled. The equipment truck had already gone to and arrived in Waco. BU is having to reimburse UH & Fox Sports for expenses incurred with late notice.
I think it’s unprofessional for mac rhoades to say anything about what Dana said. A coach wants to play so he should have ignored Dana’s comments. Sounds like Mac what’s to wussy out of future beatings. Like Aldine mentioned were never going to the big12. So let’s bring in other p5s and ignore them like they do us. Tech is the only one with courage to play us which I respect. Mac waited till fri at the last moment so Dana has a right to be upset like us. Wussies!
First steps to backing out of the home and home. They chickened out and were probably told to back out by Big12. They would have given us cutis anyway. Hope they lose to Kansas.
This is a good thing. We have a coach unafraid to ruffle some feathers on behalf of his team and Mack helped us by making a big deal out of it. This will give us some more media attention and we’re in the right as well as keep our guys willing to play for a coach that understands their frustrations. UNT is going to the woodshed.
Lol. Typical b12 and Baylor pompous attitude. A classy response would be to at least pretend to understand UH’s frustration after another cancellation. Instead, we get the “they should be grateful we almost played them”.
Dana most likely won’t reach Yeoman status, but I believe he’ll do big things here. I love his passion and fire and when he sees UH being screwed over he speaks his mind.
It’s Rhoades who has a problem. EECOOG69 is right - again - Rhoades is an opportunist who has forgotten UH gave him his first major break in his profession. He had no business complaining about Dana to Dana’s boss. I think the Coogs will play with chips on their shoulders in how many games we do play this year and put in a solid season.
Like previously said. He’s just laying the ground work for canceling the series. F that conference. I swear we’d be the BANE of the big 12 if the SEC or ACC would look this way.
My problem is I always assume folks are honorable and live up to their promises. Especially those in high places. If Baylor cancels out and assuming we had a firm agreement I would certainly consider legal action.
