He’s a Cali kid so I’d expect him to land at a UC-Irvine type school.
Was hoping he would be a player for us. Actually never saw him in a game. Good luck to the young fella.
Good luck to you young man.
Coach must already have his eye set on a couple of bigs. He’s just making room and that’s very exciting.
soooo, who all DO we have left?
McFarland was likely coming off the UH bench next year and can transfer to a school where he can start. I hope he is healed and wish him the best.
Since he was injured for the vast time he was here, can’t say his leaving is a loss.
Minimal contribution, minimal memories.
Good luck young man, I wish well
Seems we spent all the time and trouble to get him healthy and no return. Lath and him can hold hands and walk into darkness. Can not wait to see who we got that chased him away.
I mean the guy had his bone sticking out of his leg. Probably transferring so he can play as he hasn’t played high level basketball in 2-3 years.
So far, none of the transfers have been a surprise to me.
McFarland freeing up NIL dollars. Always a team player.
So much respect for the grit of this dude, but I understand this decision.
College sports now… man!
I could see him going to Wyoming.
I wish him well. That leaves us with 5 returners, 6 in the unlikely event Cenac comes back. With the 2 HS recruits added in, we have 7 or 8 spots available. I wonder if CKS wants to fill them all or maybe just 4 or 5.
Best of luck to McFarland!
I’ll be curious/interested to see how McFarland plays when he goes somewhere he can start or at least be in the rotation. I have no idea what his strengths are. Never saw enough to determine a thing other than he looks rail thin.
Wherever he goes, he will be the best practice player after years under Sampson
Now that the players are being paid, it’s not like the old days when they could just hang around on scholarship; it’s put out or get out – just like most any other job in the real world. They are now, in effect, employees who only remain on the payroll if their production warrants it. The players demanded being paid, now they have to take all that goes with it.
