Meanwhile, Iran war

Do you know what that MOU reads like? The JCPOA that non-f***tards negotiated 10 years ago.

Now will the dummies eat it up proclaiming showing Fearless Leader’s deal making abilities?

Probably.

Left out potential. Nothing was imminent in them having 11 bombs.

Correct they were at 60% enrichment to have fission material you need 90. But you have to remember Commandant Drunky explained to Congress it waynt because things were imminent it’s that still had the ambitions which is surprising they still had those ambitions after we proved that they definitely should have those ambitions, like many times over.

It’s like being mad at a guy for wanting to buy a gun after his house was broken into.

First and foremost, I hope the deal that looks much like what was proposed weeks ago gets done.

But I can’t wait to hear the inane spin rationalizing this as some stroke of genius that made it totally worthwhile to burn through our munitions, put the global economy in chaos, enrich Russia and show Iran that they have more juice than they probably realized.

Getting things back to where they were before this war started (before 14 Americans and thousands of Iranians died and billions and billions :moneybag: down the drain) is the best case scenario.

Let that sink in.

Proven, unrepentant and habitual liars are going to lie.

Well I was connected to some that lost their lives there.

And to many that lost their lives in Afghanistan as well.

We caught OBL in a completely different country…about a decade into a two decade long war.

It is what it is.

As I’ve said before, it’s hard for me to visualize how the world would be better with the Ayatollah and Ahmajenidad still alive.

The same can be said for a lot of people, though - doesn’t make every action related to getting rid of them justified.

That justifies this one for me though.

I guess opinions vary.

Well, they haven’t stopped executing protestors, lobbing missiles or possessing nukes in the days since those guys were removed, so it’s kind of hard to see how things are “better” just because the faces have changed. There’s a reasonable argument that things are actually worse, because there’s uncertainty around who is making decisions and whether the leader who emerges will actually be “better.”

The apparent plan was to break stuff and see what happens. Whether the world is “better off” obviously remains to be seen.

Funny I recall higher gas prices in 2008 and I’m 2022 and no complaints from you

Not really, Obama didn’t destroy most of thier capacity to wage war

So, this would be the Obama deal just we spent a whole lot more in money, material and lives to get it. I’m not sure that’s the win you think it is.

Plus, Iran still has plenty of capacity to wage war as they are currently doing. Some reports I’ve seen are that a lot of the missles and such aren’t destroyed but only burried. So they could be dug out in the future to be used again.

I still have no idea what that has to do with anything. It just seems nonsequitir. However, @firstandten if you were against any US assistance or intervention in Ukraine because of an “America First” and “No New Wars” philisophy… why do you not have the same stance with the US intervention in Iran? How are those not contradictory?

Killing two men solved nothing but we created new problems. Waging war isn’t so cool after all
