- Nolley, maybe- wants to be a pro- already stayed longer than he wanted, but might want higher draft stock by coming back
- Lester, maybe- might want a bigger role
- Williams, maybe- you d think āauto-goneā with his age, but said he hasnt decided
- Duren, ā gone
- Harris, likely back- didnt partake in senior day activities (same class as lomax), but not on scholly
- Minott, - āshouldā be back- but their message board has whispers that he might go portal
- Dandridge - maybe- might want a bigger role at different school
- Timberlake - idk? - came to memphis to be a star/1&done NBA guy-- was bench/has no stock but already used transfer
- Bates, likely gone - imo will go to gleague if they are still offering
- Both Lawsons, likely coming back- my guess is that they were told to wait year before implementing them - Williams decision could impact them

- John Camden/Sam Onu (redshirting 4star freshmen)- supposedly both want out
everyone could be back but duren, but they could also lose the entire roster

I will say this for Penny. His guys arenāt sissies. Theyād probably transition to Sampson easily.

Memphis was one of the ten best teams in the country by the end of the year. I think they showed that tonight. Shame they lost. This ranks up their with our loss to Michigan and UCFs loss to Duke as the biggest what ifs in league history.

I have liked Quinones, since he was having guitar duals with Corey Davis his freshman year. I believe he is similar to Grimes. He would thrive in Sampsonās system instead of playing with ball hogs who dribble too much.

Part of the in-laws are huge Memphis fans so I typically am rooting for them unless they play us obviously, great game last night. Feel like their foul trouble took them out of their game plan with way too much time left. And Timme put the backpack on my god what a second half by him
Memphis has not signed anyone yet for this class. Houston signed 3 kids in November ( Walker, Arceneaux , and Sharp) all 4 stars and up including the #1 PF in the country. And Sharp is already here.
I read an article somewhere where Penny stated he would start looking at the transfer portal instead of all the one and dones.

Making the not so bold prediction he is playing w Grimes next season on the Knicks.
Dependent on Ty Ty Washington from Kentucky being gone by the time the Knicks draft and current Kicks C Mitchell Robinson getting offers elsewhere. Both seem likely.

Why do yāall think Dandridge wants out? With Duren gone it seems he would want to stay until and unless they bring in a new stud center

AAU circuit is based purely on who gets guys into the draft. If Duren and Bates goes top 10 and 20 as is expected, that would give Penny three lotto picks in three years. We have not had a lottery pick since 1984!
So I expect Penny to get his share of players as long as this remains the case.
The wild card is NIL, but again that should help and not hurt Memphis, as it has huge fan and corporate support in the city (FedEx, International Paper, St Judeās, etc.). They regularly draw 15K fans a game, which produces a lot of cash flow.
So Penny and Memphis will be just fine.
We should be less concerned with Penny and more with UH. I am looking forward to next year with the recruiting class coming in. We will see what Sampson can do with this. However, good news for us is that we have a game today. I think if we win this game we can make the Final Four.
Why the heck did Bates even go to Mumphish?!? He barely played any games and when he did he disrupted team chemistry and he only made a cameo in the post season! Iād be pissed if i paid for his moving expenses.
