Milos Uzan & Jojo Tugler

We’ll have another shot next year.

  1. Great post scoring big with a butter smooth middy.
  2. Point guard that can get to the basket anytime he chooses.

We just need to make sure to reconstruct the roster with 3 and D guys to support those two. If we can bring back paint scoring then we will definitely have a chance next season too.

Cenac was a five star recruit based on his athleticism and ability to shoot the rock…I doubt the kid was ever asked to post up in high school as he prepped for that big pay check one day.
Guy Lewis was one of the best at developing big post players over the years, but he had the luxury of having his bigs for three or more years. Those days are gone with all the one and dones…

Tugler and Cenac without Roberts/Francis is like Thorpe and Horry without Olajuwon. They play important supporting rules, but we need a stronger inside presence for them to be used effectively.

Some are saying that Harwell is the most likely to transfer.

I’ll borrow a Sampson quote. Cenac needs a little more mud in his game.

@Coog2010 already Harwell rumors?

We’ve given him alot of playing time. Hes gotten better defensively here

Hopefully he trust the process.

Probably trash. But you never know.

Miller is the one I’m worried about unless the staff has told him he would be a 1 or 2 starter next season

? Dude is our best rebounder. By a mile. He has plenty of mud in his game. He has taken over games on his ability to rebound.

I can honestly see Chase being a leader on this team next year and moving forward. He will be an upperclassman and at the current time not an nba prospect, so he can provide the longevity of being in the culture.

I could see it. Guys rarely transfer out of our program, but if anyone would be a candidate it would be him. His body language on the court doesn’t seem all that great to me, and his confidence looks really shaken. I wonder if the rough and tumble Sampson program is a good fit for him

This is absolutely correct.

Like the Final Four vs DUKE? And I’d say the progam that CKS has built is a shade better than “competitive.” 99% of CBB programs would give anything to be as “competitive” as UH has been the last 7 years.

Thank you for bringing this up. CKS IMO is speaking Coach’s/language.
Instead of could be what about the following:
Take the bull head on.
Granted Chris is not Mike Tyson but have you seen Ferraris stick in second gear for fear of getting a speeding ticket? That is the feeling I have with Chris.
Question:
Have we seen a game where Chris is THE protagonist?
You will come back that it is not our offense. This is where I am suffering from the case of a glass half full half empty.
The next question that I have is this?
What is Cenac stopping from explodingINSIDE? What is it?
He has all of the tools. He is 6’11" and 240 lbs. I am not asking him to play like Rick Mahorn but all of the teams that have beaten us in the last few years like Florida have had players that “crossed” the line and played nasty. Chris IMO has to add it to his repertoire. He had zero PF in this game. Plainly we have not imposed our inside game. Cryer comparing to what we have seen in the last few year looks like Charles Barkley.
Last question:
Do JoJo and Chris impose fear into our opponents minds? I truly believe that if Chris or JoJo do this will immensely benefit Uzan. That is what I wanted to see coming into this season. Let’s go boys. You have E95 in your Ferrari’s gas tank. Pedal to the metal. We have nothing to lose.

Ok whatever. Sick of arguing with you guys.

All I know is, I don’t want to hear anymore crying and whining when the exact same thing happens in the tournament that happens every single season. We go ice cold in some portion of the game and blow a lead.

That Duke game was the exception; also our defense, which as I pointed out is always elite, is what got us back in the game. We held Duke without a FG for 10 minutes!!!

However against Purdue and Florida we hit cold spells where we could not buy a bucket. We survived Purdue but couldn’t survive UF.

Yeah but this is all due to poor NIL. Please

Cenac is one and done. Same for Flemings.

And they will be gone next year

Or maybe they just went cold and had a scoring drought.

Could it be that there’s a correlation between good defenses and scoring droughts?

Great defensive teams have droughts on offense. It’s the nature of that style of play. We aren’t your quintessential fast-break style of offense because so many of our points come from 3. When the majority of your shots are low percentage there will be droughts. Maybe with the big kid coming in and McFarland finally seeing the court we can get some inside buckets when our shooters go cold. Scoring droughts are best cured by layups and dunks.

But really our style of play has been very successful. It breaks down when our guards don’t rebound and when we turn the ball over. One of those Sampson can cure. The other is tougher to fix.

If tugler would have gone pro then peat would be at Houston.
