if I may, I thought Javier Bardem as Stilgar was meh. His accent was great but as a warrior, yeah, no.
Didn’t so much mind him.
But Christopher Walken was truly lifeless as the Padashah Emperor.
Jose Ferrer was far better in that role in the original Dune (bad though that movie was).
what do you guys think of the 80’s casting of Justice League? …
AI created an '80s Justice League movie trailer & cast that are absolutely perfect
I started watching the new Amazon Jack Ryan, Ghost War. I stopped half way.
The script is horrible.
The cast? You have the usual crew but they act as if they did not want to do this project. The MI6 female character is resumed at: What were the producers thinking? She is very attractive, by design wear questionable clothing and…smokes as if to make a point that it is ok to smoke.
The movie started with cliches and frankly bad acting. I was looking forward to this chapter. It did not deliver.
If Ghost War turns out to be bad I am going to throw a hissy fit.
Been waiting for it with good anticipation.
I didn’t think Ghost War was bad. I enjoyed the movie but it was a complete throwaway and forgettable.
Contradicting yourself?
No, it wasn’t a bad movie but it wasn’t memorable or necessary, so it wasn’t great either. It was just OK.
Just telling it like I experienced it. But the good news is that if one can’t live up to expectations but it does not mean a future one will.
What do you mean by that?
The movie wasn’t necessary in that it really didn’t further the story of the characters at all, in my opinion. I could go on but that might involve some spoilers.
By definition World events come up. That in itself is a framework to build a script around it. The actors roles are directly connected to these events. Every installments reflects it. Current and future events are scripts waiting to be created.
I have no idea what you’re trying to say with that word salad.
Anyone seen the Mandaorian & Grogu movie yet? Was thinking I may go today.
Watched Ghost War.
Ok. Not great. Krazinski was part of the script team and is a Producer.
Best part was the location shooting in Dubai. A spectacular city! Might be the most modern city in the world.
Seemed like it was put together to promote the boys to the top of the CIA
The truth is that The Jack Ryan series might have run its course and now is over.
Believe that the first time we saw that character was in the movie “The Hunt for Red October” which was circa 1990. Alec Baldwin played Ryan then.
On another note, sadly, The Lincoln Lawyer is running its last season later this year. I really enjoy that series.
Maybe until it gets another reboot… but really, we’ll likely come back and watch whatever is next if it looks to have a good story/visuals.
I enjoyed it alright….not great
But the plan is for another 3 to 4 movies.
Saw it last night. Really enjoyed it. Lots of fun easter eggs.
Very standalone in the Star Wars Universe still, although the Hutts show up.
