Jane Seymour as Solitaire, forgetaboutit

Watched the “Fountain of Youth” movie on Apple+ the other night. Some critics have panned it but I found it very enjoyable. Plenty of action with a “National Treasure” and Raiders of the Lost Ark " vibe. Good family night PG 13 movie.
Saw the new “Mission Impossible” movie on IMAX today. Was really good, action action action. See it on IMAX if you get a chance. A good portion of the audience was clapping at the end.
“The Last Rodeo” was enjoyable. I think it was better than any of the ‘big’ movies right now, and I enjoyed Mission impossible and lilo and stitch
This will be my movie tonight. Thanks for the recommendation
Just finished “The Brutalist” on MAX.
The story is fictitious, but it seems plausible enough to be convincing historical fiction.
Follows the life of a Bauhaus educated architect (Oscar winning performance by Adrian Brody), and his wife, both of whom survive the Holocaust and move to the USA, only to struggle with professional life, acceptance, anti-Semitism, and addiction issues here.
The movie is VERY long; about 3.5 hours that I had to split over a few days. Brody’s performance is good, but I almost liked the performance of the movie’s villain, played by Guy Pearce, even more. Not sure if it’ll be entertaining for everyone, but it’s a good arthouse flick within its niche.
Bahaus is still shaping our world today. A must see.
Are the designs that this guy fictitiously created consistent with what one would expect from the Bauhaus school?
I haven’t seen it. But I advocate anything that exposes people to architecture.
We too enjoyed the Last Rodeo when we saw it this past weekend.
Saw the John Wick world movie Ballerina today. Time period between the 3rd and 4th Wick movies. It was a good action movie with a story to boot. If you liked the previous ones you will like it and I would suggest seeing on the big screen .
Watched Becoming Led Zeppelin last night on Netflix what an amazing doc about one of the best bands ever.
I watched it Saturday. I’m a HUGE Zeppelin fan. It was amazing seeing all of the rare concert footage and hearing John Bonham’s voice. I’ll probably watch it again this weekend. I’ll probably turn the subtitles on. John Paul Jones mumbles too much.
I heard it took 5 years to put this documentary together. I hope they can agree to do another one since this one only went through 1971 or so.
Anybody seen the new Wes Anderson film?
I might go see it on Juneteenth.
Giant. Early Texas oil bidness. James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson. Goes back further than most here.
Watched the first hour today - excellent.
Interesting how unremarkable their early lives were. Enjoyed seeing that.
All three seem to have survived with their wits intact - surprising
Just the fact that Jimmy Page has made it to 80 years old is a miracle itself.
I would like to hear the stories when Page really went off the deep end later in their run.
Epic!
Very well done
Classic… it’s been a while since I’ve watched it.
James Dean’s character (Jett Rink) was based on Glenn McCarthy, the wildcatter that got rich and built the Shamrock Hotel here in Houston.
Quite the epic drama, like another movie filmed in Marfa (There Will Be Blood).
