Moving to electric vehicles will dull recessions currently inflated by oil

I wouldn’t expect a relatively rare vehicle (cybertruck) to have issues that would rise to the level of others that are driven far more. You need to look at some sort of per capita stat.

In any case, the fact that other cars have issues doesn’t mean this one doesn’t.

Why was my post removed?

Is Tesla untouchable? This is getting ridiculously farcical.

It was both political and off topic for this thread.

I know you will disagree and that’s fine. But not going to argue about it. You can reach out to mods via PM if you’d like.

Both sides of the political aisle (and those that love or hate Musk for that matter) are constantly ticked at mods. We do the best we can but will never make everyone happy.

The topic is EVs. What exactly is “political” about someone replacing a Tesla for another car? Serious and honest question. I don’t see it.

No policy, politician or politics were mentioned, at all! No names (except for the owner of the car who is not a politician) were even mentioned. Just a car.

I will say this. The obvious double standards reek. I’ll stop there.

Please do. You can reach out via pm if you’d like.

To whom?

Me, Ryan, Duce. Whoever you’d like.

A simple google search would show that the story was obviously political. It’s not even debatable.

Google search of what?

How about whoever removed my post?

Looks like they are not even considering the emergence of possibly
white hydrogen in the near term. Probably wise for planning purposes…
guesstimate it’s at least 20 years out.

Other thing I found interesting is they were considering the route of using liquefied hydrogen storage at very cold temps vs high pressure tanks. The few hydrogen
cars there are , all go the route of pressure tanks. Going cryo is whole new set
of headaches in engineering design and infrastructure. Only vehicle I can think of that uses liquid hydrogen are rockets.

Glad I bought that hybrid but damn, that would really suck.

But only EVs are heavy, right?

https://www.motor1.com/news/751648/ram-1500-ramcharger-weight/

So that’s a weird “series hybrid”. A V-6 engine is used to only generate
electricity and is not connected to the wheels. Reminds me of the original
Chevy Volt. While the Volt sold about 150,000 units over 10 years, I’m not
sure it would be called an unqualified success.

Seems odd Ram would try to revive this concept of EV/gas car.

I’m glad my status symbol will save me so much money.

I drive a plug-in. Most don’t know it’s electric, and most out here don’t care.

It’s hilarious some think that is the main reason people buy them.

I also enjoy the HOV lane access, but that may go away in Cali this year.

How far can these EV trucks pull a cattle trailer loaded (10000-14000# or a large RV on a full charge? I never seem to find those numbers.
And how do you get that set up into a charging station?
