Moving to electric vehicles will dull recessions currently inflated by oil

China should be the last in the world for EVs if we want to protect against pollution. Their grid is the dirtiest of the advanced world.

Again, China is not some eco warrior champion, it wants to get rid of its reliance on foreign oil, that’s why its trying to quickly adopt EVs.

Of course you anti EV guys have been brainwashed into thinking EV buyers are some left wing tree huggers that think electricity comes from unicorn farts.

True, but they have been making progress since 2005 on the use of coal and have more
Kwh from renewables than US.

Of course they are using coal. That’s all they have.

Well let’s create some more electricity in China then.

What else can they F up? Go big gov go big socialism. More central control!!!

Economy- they are Enron, falsified financial data.

Covid - well they sorta started it and their zero covid was the greatest public policy disaster since the cultural revolution (oh that was theirs too).

Ecologically - they are Cleveland circa 1967

Freedoms - give me a break.

Any big Gov socialist type that is out there should have to explain China.

But we had Enron, and S&L crisis, and 2008 housing crisis, and Trump Financial, etc
They are doing their best to catch up to our worst

I don’t want rehash the lab vs nature argument  But agree first infections appeared in Wuhan.

lol ; but again you’re just saying they reliving our past mistakes.

No argument here. But I’m just interested data and numbers with out all
the emotional baggage and responses. In my analytical state I don’t care if they are
The Daleks; I’m just interested in numbers.

I don’t care about that stuff in this thread; but it’s funny at least 2 of the darts thrown at China
are of US low points they are approaching or exceeding.

Exactly, democracies improve over time. Big Gov Socialism repeats past mistakes.

I think most organizations tend to grow by default, governments especially, as people have an inner drive to do and accomplish more. Its just human nature and, surprise, governments are run by humans. Reining them can be just as important as having them in the first place. Same goes for companies when they get too large and become monopolistic.

You are if you have an electric car.

We’re not close to a crisis:

“the United States is the world’s biggest oil producer, which exports more crude and petroleum products than it imports. Its output is at record highs and is climbing, even as demand has flattened.”

Can you predict when one happens?

But only EVs catch fire.

The only reason you would buy an EV is that you have concerns for the environment. That is apparently falling on deaf ears because of the costs and inconveniences of an EV.

Plus EVs are only as green as the grid. Americans are waking up an realizing that EVs are inferior product.

But there is good news coming out of Australia. Their big hydrogen field appears to be real.

Keep your fingers crossed.

You got anything new?

In regards to the Australia field ( or any really ) have you seen any reports on pressures or flow rates ?

Just what is reported.

Not true. I bought mine because it’s cool as hell and an absolute blast to drive.

Also not necessarily true. I guess it depends on what cars you are comparing them to. I’m not a fan of Mitsubishi, so I would think my Tesla is far superior to them. It’s one of the best cars I’ve owned, and there has been a lot. When you think that the Tesla has more features now than it had when it was new, it’ the only car I’ve ever owned that has improved over time.
