Moving to electric vehicles will dull recessions currently inflated by oil

White or gold or natural Hydrogen is the future. It is in the wildcatter stage right now but the majors will move in once the reserves are proven.

I do find Musk’s comments about green hydrogen funny. They are correct, of course, any second generation power source is only as green as the original power source creating it. But that is the EXACT description of electricity.

Hydogen blows up good.

Yep, the darndest thing about an internal combustion engine is that it needs something that combusts. Hydrogen combusts real good.

You guys sound like this guy from 2018.

Interesting study numbers on cold effects ICE vs EV…

Maybe they were trying to cook burger meat?

Paywalled

Summary: short run delivery drivers local, short haul/regional drivers, last mile etc. are big fans overall but it’s certainly not without hiccups. Far and away not ready for long haul. Probably the best market opportunity for 51’s hydrogen preference.

What happened to the story about the Tesla drivers stuck in the cold. Did they freeze to death not be heard again?

Ask Google.

This demonstrated one clear thing.
You can’t charge your car in these weather conditions.
You can’t operate your car properly in these conditions.
Moreover
What should people do when this happens?
What should the employer find out you are at home due to your car’s battery?
What should all these mega metropolis do when this happens?
What happens when we have mendates to only buy EV’s?
This is what happens when so called leaders make dumb decision.
I am 100% for EV’s.
I am 100% against EV’s mandates.
Understand the difference google man?

Yes, this post made your point clear whereas the other post just seemed like a general question and not some attempt at making a point.

Yes you can.

Yes you can.

Prepare better. These cars are used all over the world including Norway. First thing you can do is not buy an EV if you don’t have a place to charge at home. If you have to rely on a Supercharger to charge, an EV is not for you.

What would your boss do today if you had a dead battery or a flat tire?

I don’t know. What’s your solution?

We don’t and probably never will.

As usual, these are user/driver errors. It has nothing to do with leaders.

People just look for reasons to discount EVs. It’s become part of their political dogma.

Seems to be an American user issue…shocking.

I do remember when we had the winter storm in 2021 that my aunt had just gotten a new Tesla and couldn’t go anywhere as power was out. Now I never really asked if it was because the car wasn’t charged before power went out or because they were worried they wouldn’t be able to recharge. Although it is entirely possible they just couldn’t figure out how to open the garage door without electricity, lol.

Though of course if the grid is out, and there isn’t a battery backup or generator backup, then you’re screwed. That is the same for both cold and hot climates.

When it’s that cold out, I’m not going anywhere in any type of car.

There are issues getting much of anything when the power is out without generators.

And the same preparedness issues that exist with EVs also exist with ICE cars.

Yes for sure.

Absolutely!
