THE POLLS

We’re 8-2 after a great road win.

The Coogs are receiving votes.

UH will win the bye week and maybe move up a spot or two.

Beat TCU and the Coogs will be ranked again at 9-2.

Beat Baylor, and the Coogs will be in the Top 20, at 10-2.

After that, it’s all gravy, IMO…

This! Great summation. Then it’s on to the Holiday, Pop Tart or Alamo Bowl.

That is what ESPN and CBS want.

I’ll concede that you have espoused the “most likely” scenario.

No question. We used our mulligan on a 5 inch putt.

What gets me is we’re 8-2 in a P4 conference and unranked. How many other P4 teams have been 8-2 and been unranked? When other P4 schools get upset it’s because the other team played a great game, when we get upset it’s because we suck. It seems like we never get the benefit of the doubt.

There are no other 8 win p4 teams not ranked. Cinci, Nebraska, and SMU are the only p4 teams with 7 wins that are not ranked.

Cincy got ranked in the AP and Coaches. They’ll likely be in tomorrow’s CFP ranking.

I appreciate the sentiment but Tech hasn’t earned any CFP respect over the past 5 years. That said, I would do anything to play A&M in the CFP!

Pro Football Network ranks UH’s schedule as the 76th most difficult. At 8-2, if you want a reason why UH is not ranked in the top 25, there you go. Losing to a sub-.500 WV team at home was a rankings killer.

Win out and everybody is happy again.

You are seeing the influence ESPN has on the rankings. Have to keep pushing those ACC and SEC teams.

Yup and people confidently spew out opinions based on the ESPN propaganda.

That’s from weeks ago and outdated. ESPN has our SOS at #73. Pitts is #91 and JMU at #115. Maybe we aren’t a T-25 team but we deserve to be ranked ahead of those two for sure.

Tennessee has a solid strength of schedule but lost to the 3 teams that inflate their SOS.

It’s all manipulated. When you are 9 to 10 games into the schedule and you can’t point to a single win over a team with a winning record in FBS play, then I don’t care what your SOS is because you’re mid.

It’s insane that that the ACC has more teams ranked than the B12. They had a terrible win% in the non-conference including a 1-6 record against the B12. No excuse for an 8-2 B12 to not be ranked. They’re just trying to take reduce the number of ranked teams for the B12 so they can keep us from getting more teams in the playoffs.

Unless we are in the CFP, which I don’t think we will be, it doesn’t really matter what bowl we are in. Just let it be in a place where fans don’t have to travel far.

Our best players who have a shot at the NFL will sit out. Anyone transferring will sit out. Our opponent may even be in worse condition. The bowl games don’t have the same meaning anymore.

Tennessee?

Well we’re no.1 in basketball. Are you telling me no other undefeated team has better wins than Lehigh and Towson?
