Brad Towns absolutely gets it!
If everyone understood what the real deal was there would have been the pressure needed to move on from TW.
But we have too many fans that unfortunately don’t have a clue….remember a month ago when a gaggle of them came in and told us a “win is a win” and the program was back on track , etc.
Like I said….If Pez doesn’t care then I don’t care.

Oh well, those that wanted to keep Whitting got their wish, chances are they’ll be the only people watching next year, all 10 of them.

Wow, wonder how long his contract will be. The twitter build up about 35 wins and conference championship series wins (without postseason) was an omen that they’re keeping him.

I don’t really know much about Pez, but he obviously has no Cahunas! He made Whitting fire Bunn and then he kept Whitting. He didn’t have to do anything. BS move on his part.

I don’t think it has much to do with having fans that don’t have a clue. It comes down to the ones that write checks, like Todd. Pez did the math and decided it wasn’t worth upsetting those folks. I also wonder after seeing what Rice and Tulane have gone thru lately gave folks cold feet. Letting Todd go and hiring someone new isn’t a magic bullet.
Who has Pez actually hired at UH? Does he have the pull to get UH as close to a sure thing as possible?
At this point, best we can hope for is Todd hiring an ACE pitching coach.
I assume the will give Todd at least a 3 year deal. And there is a decent chance we miss the tourney 3 more times. Hopefully he lands a great pitching coach and we are in the tourney next season, but history isn’t on his side.

I would think the donors would be some of the most die-hard fans and would want to see this program back to the level Noble had it.

Won’t know until after draft….and honestly who knows, we’ll see who sticks.
I mean, to be fair it’s been probably 5 or 10 of you that have wanted CTW gone since last year.
I’m indifferent. I suspect all the same coogfans will be on this board next year, irrespective of current emotions.

If you include the fans who have quit going to games altogether, that number starts to look like a big part of what used to be the support base. Those people who have tapped out also want a change.
If the AD believes that his cash flow will drop by making a coaching change because TW has some generous donors in his corner, then so be it, I guess. Those donors obviously care more about things other than winning and competing at the highest levels.
My support won’t make or break the program, but I’m not giving another dollar to baseball or spending the time to go to a game until there’s a change in direction. I’m not alone in that.

Maybe Pez forced the donor(s) hands by not extending him until now. Maybe he extracted some more cash out of them to extend him?
It will be very telling next year whenever the visiting fans outnumber Cougar fans at home games because faith and support have deteriorated so badly…

Missou coach fired after going 30-24. Not sure about RPI but surely higher than UH’s.
“Historically, Mizzou has not funded its baseball program anywhere close to the same level as its peers in the SEC. MU set a home attendance record this season at Taylor Stadium but still lags behind other SEC programs in facilities, spending and revenue. According to data collected by the Equity in Athletics Data Analysis, during the 2022 fiscal year, Mizzou spent $700,600 on baseball game operating expenses, which includes travel costs for lodging, meals and transportation plus equipment and uniform costs. That’s just 46% of the average SEC baseball budget of $1,526,465.”
