It was a stupid idea to begin with.
The average Coog Fan wasn’t alive when the Oilers last played in Houston.
However, It might be the least stupidest thing that happens with our team this year.
If that is how they remember this stinker so be it.

Nah - Young people love that color combo. Plus not sure if average Coog fan is under 27 but could be.
They asked, and were given permission.
I didn’t think they should’ve used these colors anyway. They looked good but not a fan for UH.
Colors are protected all the time. If the blue on our faux Oilers jerseys is EXACTLY the same as the Oilers, then we’re wrong.
Hunt gave permission.
But the question is how did Hunt get permission since there had been a Dallas Texans NFL team in the 1950s? The Baltimore Colts owned the original Texans assets after the NFL took over the team and sold them to the new Baltimore franchise.
Im guessing Hunt didn’t care. Those renegade AFL teams. The Colts should sue the Chiefs
Are you kidding? For about a week, UH couldn’t buy that amount of national publicity.
The nfl could care less about its fans.
I brought up the example before.
I was a San Diego Chargers ticket holders for many years. You have all heard of the powder blue Chargers jersey. While in San Diego the nfl only allowed the Chargers to use it very few times maybe one game/year. They relocate to Los Angeles and then the nfl lets them wear it every single game. You know why? The nfl knew that the very little Chargers fans that were in Los Angeles would love to see them wear the powder and blue colors. The nfl did the same thing with the Rams. Yep all of a sudden they start wearing their old colors.
Congrats to Cleveland.
Warren Moon in Tennessee? This is like the Mona Lisa in Detroit.
Only when they started selling like hot cakes, the NFL said we are not getting a cut, let’s stop that.
To me, ‘exactly’ would mean the chemistry of the color is on file with a legal entity.
If the color chemistry is slightly altered, the color wouldn’t be protected.
I’ve been to Sherwin-Williams too many times, so I understand the mixtures of color to produce a specific color.
If the chemistry of color isn’t legally required, then it would be a subjective opinion, thus subject to legal challenge.
In protest of this, our entire coaching staff has decided never to accept a job in the NFL. Or gain results desirable enough to warrant an offer. Fight the power!
I don’t know about average Coog fan but the youngest generations of fans were either not born or too young to really appreciate them.
Showing your ignorance here. It was the top trending topic for sports on Twitter/X the day it was revealed.
We colors are registered as part of a logo trademark for example, the colour formula is part of the registration.
The lawyers on the board can chime with the details if they want.
They used them yesterday.
Yep…only folks remember these colors are in rocking chairs now, yelling at the neighbors kids to get off his grass.
Good response. Thanks
Using the two pictures above…
Using Photoshop to check the colors:
I need to come clean with you guys. I entered an amicus brief on behalf of the Titans to prevent those awful uniforms from ever seeing the light of day.
