No meeting with PAC schools after all

Conferences (and media) are realizing it is the bottom feeders that make the conference undesirable or not worth as much. Every conference has them, but why would B12 want to add more? Oregon St., Washington St. and Cal do nothing for a conference athletically which drops viewership and ratings. (and money). B10 and ACC have half of their conference as bottom feeders, at least in basketball most of B12 is highly competitive.

Take whoever you need to in order to kill the Pac-12 as a power conference. Given the difficulty they are going to have replacing teams, that means any of them.

The argument for not taking OSU and WSU if we can stop at 6 is pretty strong, but only if you can get the six.

PAC schools are probably denying conversations with the Big-12 so they don’t violate their GOR.

“Going into media negotiations”
The PAC will get peanuts unless it has a new GOR. Which schools will agree to that.

O and W made a huge blunder by appealing to the B1G. After the B1G’s response will they sign a GOR?

There not going to reveal their hand like any good poker player holding there cards close to their vest.

Colorado’s BOR on July 5 and 7 are subject to open record laws.
Might know more soon.

Provided that they are not discussing departing before 8/1/24, Pac-12’s GOR does not prohibit talking to other conferences. It’s one of the many ways their conference bylaws are weaker than ours.

I think that’s right. Which is why it’s so important to make the Pac-12 non-viable by taking teams and at best forcing them to bring in teams they don’t want to bring in that are not as valuable as the teams they lost.

Hopefully the 4C4 will jump, the remainder can enjoy being MWC 3.0

That’s called a poison pill and we could very well die from ingesting it.

Why take the least valuable brands that won’t help the big12 make significantly more money

Does it matter if B12 is one of three contestants?

Sometimes perception is stronger than reality. Numbers bring there own power. Also you possibly mortally wound the PAC into the dustbin of CFB history along the SWC just a footnote in CFB realignment in Wikipedia

Sometimes guys will go with the shorty because they know she isn’t going anywhere.she may have attributes the others don’t.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Our taking the dregs mortally wounds the PAC but sends the valuable properties to the B1G. Leaving us still with the dregs.

Either your fishing or cutting bait. How I see it.

The issue is that the Pac-12 is going to reduce ESPN’s need for our games, and thus our value. Far more than the inclusion of WSU and OSU would if we can go into negotiations as the only P4 (or mid-2) conference remaining.

The only way ESPN won’t need our content is if they get what they need from the Pac-12.

So killing the Pac-12 is the priority.
