No to Deion Sanders

How confident are we that we have our QB going to the Big12 next year? Dana’s inability to recruit QBs was always the reason I side eyed him being our coach. For your team to regress this bad in your 4th year with one of the best offensive rosters we’ve had is just not a good sign. I mean we struggled with Rice and a 3rd string QB for Tulane. Ok you say we lost so much talent on defense ok I’ll give you that. So what’s the excuse for the offense? Tune has more weapons around him and everyone talked about how teams won’t be able to double Dell anymore…

Rhule available, it’s unfortunate we seem committed to keeping CDH into the B12 initial season. Rhule would be my first go to

Rhule is an excellent college coach , and will be in high demand for a lot of jobs. He will have his pick, in my opinion.

I’m coming around on Prime.

Wouldn’t it be crazy if he comes here, loves it here, stays here, and he’s the next statue next to Yeoman?

The thing that gives me pause on Coach Prime is that he failed to win the Celebration Bowl last year despite having a “just roll the ball out” talent gap between his team and everyone else in the conference. Even if that recruiting pace keeps up wherever he goes next, that talent gap isn’t going to be there at the P5 level.

Ok, so, you believe that, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that CDH is the one to build a team over from scratch? Our OL and DL sucks, our WR’s are mediocre (outside of Tank), and our RBs (other than McCaskill) are slow footed.

CDH was not able to do it a WVU, and is not doing it here. The man simply doesn’t care. There is a reason Prime Time is a HOF: he cared about being the best.

And you throwaway comment about shoes makes you look ridiculous and out of step. Players absolutely choose where to go to school based on shoes deals. Heck, if such things did not work, there would be no advertising, and Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and the entire tech ecosystem would not exist.

Let’s wait and see where we are at the end of the season.

We may end up being better than we’ve shown thus far.

Of course because the talent gap would be wider lol. No one in the Big12 will out recruit Coach Prime lol. Just will not happen. He comes with a top QB in his son along with Hunter the top recruit from this past class. Things aren’t working out in aggieland so some of them guys will be in the portal next year. Pretty sure Coach Prime would snatch up at least 2 or 3 four star recruits from the portal easily. Wouldn’t have to worry about our secondary being bad anymore because young CBs would come running to UH. Our Skill positions would be crazy. The only thing he’s missing down in JSU is the big boys up front. The power 5 status will help with that. Some people just can’t see the forest for the trees lol

I don’t want to wait, release him now, get the good coaches before there all gone. See what the Panther did to Rhule. 1-4 let him go.

David Tepper, owner of the Panthers, made his vast fortune as a Hedge Fund manager. Those dudes make money buying and selling all the time. They don’t get sentimental and don’t give a darn about feelings.

This is a man who just canceled a $75M deal to build a practice facility in Rock County, SC because they tried to change the terms of the agreement. This was after money had been spent.

Can you imagine anybody doing that here? I mean, look how long we stuck with James Dickey!

Big, What do you think about Stoops?

Do you think he would be fired up at a new Big 12 run? We know he can recruit and surround himself with good coaches….only 62 ?

I think Dana and his staff did not put in the work in the off-season….as a former coach that’s what this team looks like.

They have been trying to play catch up all season….maybe that victory will motivate them to play that way all of the time. Maybe something has resonated……I hope so.
If the win out then that will have proved to me something changed for the positive and that lessons were learned that will be used in the future.
But if they come out and play uninspiring football the rest of the season and finish 6-6 or 7-5, especially against this weak schedule then a change needs to be made.

I think that’s fair.

I love Stoops and think he would be great here!

they took the other team for granted and didn’t take the game seriously - hanging out the night before

but SC State has produced serious NFL talent (Shaquille Leonard comes to mind) recently and had an NFL draft pick on defense last year so they weren’t going to be intimidated

I just saw a recent pre-game speech from Coach Prime. This dude has some serious swag, much like he did as a player!

I never said anything about Holgerson or believing he could build a team from scratch. Your just making stuff up to justify your viewpoint. Very sad.

Can’t say I have heard of any decent recruit choosing a school because of their shoes. Please list a few of them as I would like to read about them and what they say about it.

PS. Kansas does not have higher recruiting than UH. Over the past 4 years the average UH recruit was higher than the average KU recruit. Plus if it is only recruiting that wins games, why is UT not in the top 2 of the Big 12 every year?

To what circus are you referring? Other than being in some Aflac commercials, he’s just kept his head down and won games at Jackson State.

If you lose a game and fans stop coming, were they fans?
If you are just coming for perfection, and not because your an alumni or fan of college football, then attendance will be down unless we get creative. You can call it brain washing at A$M, but after the loss to App St. they had close to 100K the next game. App St. is worse than Tulane.

Circus…lol we got one now… HC throwing his little temper tantrums and the Joe Dirt American Top 40 Solid Gold Hit “I Ain’t Takin’ Responsibility For That”. I might be old but I think Neon Deion would kill it here
