If we do well this year, you have to think he will be back. Heck even Bill Yeoman did not set the world on fire when he got here. People wanted him gone.

Todd has been here 15+ years, not sure how BY did when he first got here is relevant to the current situation.

That said, BY was eventually pushed out for lack of performance. And he was given a shorter leash than Todd’s been given, imo. That’s despite being a legend.

BY became a legend, created the Veer, and won games. That started in the 60 and went downwards in the 80’s. UH getting put on probation was another reason why BY resigned and Pardee became HC

Bill yeoman was great, but his first four years at UH he was 15-23-2. That would get you fired today. Should we have fired CTW, I don’t know, but this season looks promising.

It’s been way too long to not make a Regional. Baseball lost the fanbase since Whitting took Noble’s spot.

I can remember when there was more chat about baseball than basketball on our message boards.

The NCAA (UT) told us we had to get rid of Coach Yoeman or else. Back then the NCAA actually had the the power to make their threats stick.

Well, going 9-24 in his last three seasons, including 1-10 in his last season, may have also played a role.

CBY recruited the outstanding talent that Pardee and Jenkins used. 1986 was a one win season, but he was cycling back up. Pushed out by a weak administration and Ken Lay (regent).

This entire conversation is pointless.

BY coaching career that ended 40 years ago has nothing to do with TW potentially being fired.

Clear cut case of apples to oranges.

It’s ridiculous and insulting to attempt to even draw any kind of parallel.

Yes, night and day.

BY took his team to the cotton bowl 2 seasons before being pushed out. That’s pretty much the equivalent of making the CWS today.

Todd hasn’t ever done that and hasn’t even made a regional in last 7 seasons.

UTSA looking good……swept Dallas Baptist and took down #9 Coastal Carolina.

I would say Pat Hallmark is my number one choice to be the Coogs next baseball coach.

These guys can absolutely rake.

Well give him a call and start getting things lined up and rolling cause Whit is on his way out!

Would be outstanding hire…I still think Sean Allen would kill it here

I would be happy with either….and I agree about Allen.

What makes you confident that CTW is on the way out?

Cause he has been here 15 years, we have been sucking, last year of his contract

Inside information by more than one person….plus the fact he has sucked for 7 years.
