I’ve been to UTSA a few times when i was in college. It’s quite a beautiful campus. It definitely has that small town atmosphere though
Suburb <> rural. Its 15 miles from the Alamo. Are you going to tell me SMU is rural because its not downtown Dallas and in the suburb of University Park? Lots of out of town students there. Beautiful campus.

There are plenty of top players in Houston, the burbs and San Antonio/Austin that would play for UH when a coaching change is made.
To insinuate they don’t want to play at UH because of where it’s located is absolute bull sh-t.

The city has built up around UTSA….it is not out in the middle of nowhere….

How does a youth baseball system feed into a college baseball program and what are some examples you are referring to?
Great players will go to UH. You just have to be able to offer them the same opportunities they can get at high level programs in the Big 12. It is not junk science.

Last time I checked, Whitting makes just over $108,000 a year. Next year is the last year of the deal Pez made with him. I hope we invested the money saved by keeping Whitting and put it in a good accout with a good interest rate so we can use it to hire a quality coach to replace him

None of those organizations have a program set up to one specific school.

For me a regional was a MUST this season so now it’s a Super Regional next season.

Think about this, in the last 9 years, COASTAL CAROLINA has won the Natty and is headed back to Omaha. And we’re stuck in Dudsville with the never ending apologists and excuses.

Really?
The high D-1 level kids don’t feed into specific programs……they go all over the place.
Now if one of those kids is high on going to a certain school his showcase coach can reach out to that program and get them in contact……but they are not being fed into certain school.
No they don’t. Kids on those teams go to all different schools. My son played on one of the best teams in the country. They won two major tournaments his last Summer and played everyone. There were no teams from Texas, or southern Texas, that had a pipeline to a certain school.
