Right. Sampson was literally kicking rodents out of office chairs and playing in a dilapidated arena. Baseball is a palace by comparison and does not demand an upgrade.
Who said that we donāt need a new coach? Did you read that somewhere?
Nah, itās an outdated stadium compared to the rest of the Big 12. The field and new building down the third baseline are fine though.
Iām responding to Sampsonās quote. Itās a āyes andā type comment.
I agree. The updates that need to be made would be directed towards the fans. I doubt we lose recruits because of our outdated, beige, stucco facade. Are the locker rooms still located below the stands or were they moved to the development center?
They are in the fancy building that was just built.
TW couldnāt make a regional if our home games were at Fenway.
CKS had a losing season, his first, 13-19 with a patchwork team, and won his last 6 I believe. After that a couple-three NITās then all Dances since then.
Sampson becoming somewhat of a shot caller within the AD is kinda funny (and earned)
Facilities have absolutely NOTHING to do with how poorly the Baseball Program has been runā¦ZERO NADA ZILCH just more excuses
Todd could coach a team to a second place finish in a one team league.
Donāt think itās one or the other
Welcome to new era - excuses are the tools of use when backs against the wall
Donāt have enough NIL
Do we really want to invest in baseball
Facilities need upgrading
Fans not donating enough
Other schools spending more in the league
Using other coaches to make public remarks to front another cause hoping it gains traction
Staff salary pool is smallest in league
Cry me a river - you signed up for this - you helped create the system with excessive greed so deal with it
When you say āfieldā, are you talking about the playing surface? My great nephew played in a āselect ballā tournament at UH about a month or so ago. The playing surface was in terrible condition! I was shocked at the turf condition!
Iām moreso talking about the seating structure.
This is Whittingās last year. People will completely avoid baseball if heās retained. The poor bastar- that takes over will need to reinvent the programās image to attract HS kids.
Their recruits will have been 11 years old the last time we made the tourney. Iāll bet that of the HS coaches that year probably 40% have retired or gone to do other things. Just guessing.
I assume if we have a good season, TW could be retained.
The travel/showcase coachesā¦ā¦so you want some of my guys to come play for youā¦.

When I was at UH in the mid 90ās, we went to baseball games and didnāt care about basketball.
Itās the exact opposite now.
Just curious, but besides nobody caring about baseball anymore, what happened to Chug-a-Lug Park?
Weāre going to find out who supervises the baseball program, Nunez or a couple of boosters. Iām pretty sure right now a cadre of boosters are the baseball administration.
I donāt have proof. Just what Iām told at the subterranean level.
Weāre talking TW boosters, right? They canāt possibly be UH boosters.
