Remember there are 4 number 1 seeds.
This game today and in other confetences is the reason that conference tournaments are a joke ……3 to 4 games in 3 to 4 days.
I would value the players more than that…… but wait !!! The schools want the $$$$$$.

Us we’re the champion in the best league and went to the final as number 1.
Uconn doesnt get it.
UConn will be overall #1. There is an argument for us but I don’t see it.
We will probably be #3 overall (meaning 3rd 1 seed) although we shouldn’t be worse than 2.
It just means UConn gets the weakest 2 seed.
Well, in my mind, we shouldn’t be #3 simply because, unlike Purdue, we actually made our conference tourney final.

Why does it matter?
Top overall seed gets worst 2 seed.
They also get to pick where they play but that’s clear this year for top 3.

Anything that gives us the slightest edge should matter with a natty on the line

We get to pick both the region…and the #2 seed we believe we’d be most likely to beat.
Only the overall top seed enjoys that privilege.

A bad loss at a bad time.
Injuries and fatigue caught up to us.
From this point forward, we’ll have to do it the old fashion way…,
dance with what brought us.
UConn is probably the best team in the country since we aren’t close to being 100%.

Fortunately the other teams don’t want the South region. Purdue wants Midwest. UConn wants the East. Rooting for NC State to beat UNC to cinch a top three for us and maybe #2. I don’t want to play Iowa State in the Elite 8, assuming we make it that far.

not sure how much truth there is to this but I saw if North Carolina loses tonight ISU could take the final 1 seed
