Gunslinger with a CWF approach might be the best approach for his career. That is why IMO our new 6’7" TE is a major gain along with a balanced running offense and a much improved OL. We are starting to have major weapons. I can’t wait.

What do you think the plan will be when Henderson gets to campus? Do you see him as the likely starter from day one (since he could go to any school and I assume he is coming here only to play QB) with Carlisle as the back up?

We gotta stop thinking so small. At most other P4s (especially the bluebloods) Henderson would have to sit for a year regardless. If Weigman is balling out, that’ll be the same case here.

I could see him sitting behind Weigman to only play QB. I do however wonder if he would entertain a QB competition with his supposed peer, Carlisle, once Weigman graduates.

Imo, there won’t be a competition at that point. Carlisle will be changing positions

Everyone gets a shot to win the job. All QBs expect to redshirt, even Henderson. They’ve already discussed the game plan with him in detail, and he’s clearly on board.

Carlisle is a playmaker - but he came here to play QB. He knew other QBs would be recruited and he knows that the goal is to recruit over him. Maybe he decides to switch positions at some point, but why entertain that before before he even goes through a spring game (in what should be his senior year) or Henderson gets through his junior year of high school?
