Oliver Luck discussed as candidate for PAC-12 Commissioner

I went to that one as a freshman in HS, which would have made it 1987. Sam Houston State, IIRC.

My first of what I didn’t know would be many Coogs games.

In this case, Gadfly has a point. You guys know me as an ultimate poly, but even I can face the facts about our attendance problems. I know that the leagues don’t make money from our ticket sales; but I also know that full stadiums make the games more exciting on TV.

In 2005, we played a good Oregon team in Reliant Stadium in front of 19,981 fans. We did have 31,144 against UCLA in the Rob in 2011 though. Based on our history, if we were in a P5 and were winning consistently, we could count on selling out TDECU on a regular basis when playing again the top opponents and getting mid 20K’s to mid 30K’s against the lower half teams. In years where we were rebuilding, we would have to rebuild our fan base as well, beyond the 15K to 20K hard core fans.
