Just to clarify. I’m not saying UH is an embarrassment or should feel embarrassed. My point is that Tech embarrassed the Big 12 (which we are a member of), and that damages the conference’s credibility with the CFP committee. When your undefeated conference champion, who is ranked No. 4, goes into the playoff and not only losses to another conferences 3rd best team, but doesn’t even score, it makes the whole league look weak. And if Tech (or any Big 12 champ) keeps winning the conference but then performs poorly in the playoff, it becomes almost impossible for the Big 12 to get multiple bids. Our best teams have to at minimum compete at a high level if we ever want the committee to trust this conference enough to send more than one team. Tech had that chance, and they embarrassed the whole league.

Very disappointed with their performance, terrible look for the big 12 as a whole. Makes me wish even more that BYU beat Tech in the Big 12 Championship to make it into the CFP- and make us a 2 bid league.

That O-Line could not block, they just looked lost. And Morton couldn’t handle the pressure. 90% of his passes were either to the check down or into double coverage. JMU scored more for petes sake. Pitiful… Money can only get you so far I guess…

Anyways I know this isn’t a big 12 message board but nonetheless I was hoping for a better performance from Tech when representing our conference.

Connor is better than Morton.

That’s “our best team”, makes everyone else look worse. Wish BYU made it. Also less money to ten conference but that’s besides the embarrassment part.

Correct, Tech does not represent Houston but they did just repents the Big 12 in the CFP. Hence the post is not about how “Tech embarrassed Houston” and was instead about how they embarrassed the Big 12. :slight_smile:

Many Tech fans talk trash about Houston. Had Houston lost to LSU, Tech fans would have said that we don’t belong in the B12. Tech is the one that is the embarrassment and takes nothing away from what Houston has accomplished this year.

To be clear- Alabama and A&M and OU are not only embarrassments, but frauds. SEC is just frauds playing frauds.
