OT: 2025 Texans Draft

Darien Porter to the Raiders. The pride of Bettendorf, IA. 4 YEAR special teams player essentially, 1 year starter at CB. Swung the iowa game w/ a pick in the redzone down 13-0. Absolute burner, length for days (former WR). Unlimited potential. @IowaCoog

Where in Iowa do you live?

Basically an hour north of Ames (60 miles)

So rural North Cental Iowa is how we would categorize it, regionally. @red80

So Jaylin Noel is a little more mechanical than the Egbuka Ohio State kid, but they are basically the same player in so many ways.

Noel put up 23 reps on bench. Most Oline guys only put up 3 or 4 more. He was pound for pound the strongest guy on our roster by far.

Smooth athlete with easy effortless gas and functional wiggle, 40+ inch vertical. And he will sneak up on you with punishing finishes w/ his rock solid strength. He is more than just a slot receiver, he can play outside in a pinch. Also a very good returner on punts and kicks.

He played a huge role all 4 years at ISU. He was a natural from the jump you couldn’t keep off the field.

Nice selection at HEB

Didn’t current Texans WR – Xavier Hutchinson go to ISU as well.?

Might as well be AMES Southeast!

I use to go to Clinton often on business. One of my 2 best friends lives in Shenandoah.

You bet he did. All time single season yards leader and also leading receiver in the entire country. He has an argument for best WR season all time at ISU, over both Higgins and Noel.

Can Skattebo at #102?

TE from UT , Helm would be a nice pick.

Sanders still there
.even Milroe picked.

Maybe should practice those interview skills.

That’s awesome! In case you’re interested in a more in depth explanation

So we’re all Iowans, obviously. So that’s always the most important thing, we all have more in common than we don’t. But there is some noticeable variance from Southern Iowa and Northern Iowa.

Both of those places are pretty different from each other, but each of them are more different from where I live than either of them are from each other, best way I can explain it. I-80 is somewhat of a noticeable divide.

Love what I’m reading about Noel. Fast 40, 4.39. plays slot and can kick/punt return on ST. He was also productive all 4 years at Iowa St.

It’s objectively good living. Wouldn’t wanna raise my kids anywhere else. I didn’t appreciate it until my adult years. So it’s really cool your son enjoyed it. He’s miles ahead of where I was.

First pick I don’t get
.we traded back up four spots to get a db that was projected to go in the 6-7 round.

How is RB or TE not the pick here?
