When he lost to Kansas yesterday, this was inevitable.

Dang. DJ Lagway getting coaches fired.

With that said. I don’t mind if we can get Dave as DC.

We’ll always have this quote…

Austin Armstrong’s D played a hell of a game last night…

Damn sure wasn’t his fault we lost.

The BU Bring Briles Back fans will be going bonkers…even though he’s really killing it at ENMU with that 0-8 record

Aranda

Baylor is 4-3 and had looked decent earlier this season.

Was this expected?

Yes

They wanted to fire him last year but buyout was too big.

He’s a good guy but not a program builder. They invested too heavily. Btw I like “Amanda” better.

He’s been on the hot seat for a while. Not a surprise.

Anytime your fan base starts calling you DEI coach or DEI hire you are not going to be around very much longer.

Can you merge all of this and the other Aranda threads into the coaching carousel thread?

Some people don’t like merging and complain we do too much consolidating. I will combine the individual Aranda threads though.

Makes zero sense to fire him. At least wait until the conclusion of the season.

If we were to lose Armstrong in the offseason, I wouldn’t be opposed to having Aranda as DC.

It obviously makes sense to fire him now, which is why they did. Just like NC State and countless other schools that will be firing their coaches is the next 3 weeks.

It lets them get started on the replacement process and line up the $ for the buyout and the next guy. Not to mention , it sends the message that you don’t tolerate losers. If it didn’t make sense, no schools would do it. There’s a lot more to the process than we know, to be sure.
