OT: Baylor Fires Dave Aranda

They probably already have another coach on the phone and getting ready to pay for tranafers.

You fire early so you’re ahead of everyone else. If you know he’s done, best to move on and start working on getting the next guy.

Aranda coached the National Champion 2019 LSU defense.

Do it now to avoid getting into a bidding war after the season. Lot’s of head coaches are underperforming.

Traylor?

The logical choice. However, one Jason Eck could be a good choice too.

Traylor would be good. Grew up Southern Baptist, knows the lay of the land recruiting-wise, has been successful, and comparing UTSA’s budget to Baylor’s, Traylor may think he died and has gone to heaven.

Mike Singletary

They aren’t hiring Mike Singletary. Neither is anyone else.

If I were a Baylor fan, I’d feel like I died and didn’t make it in if I hired Traylor.

Yes, let Baylor hire Mike Singletary, someone who has been out of football for six years. I think that is a wonderful choice.

My guess is that Baylor made the move in anticipation of TCU opening - think we see that job open soon

UTSA has path to G6 CFP spot. IF that happens he will have choice of offers, including Baylor. Would be Briles reincarnated - without the scandals.

Dawson would be a good choice for the Bears.

Bring back Briles :joy:

Wood as HC and Dana as OC. Do it, Baylor.

Briles is 0-8. Should be available.

Hell yah, bring back Dana to the B12!

Traylor isn’t anywhere close to a dream. He’s a fallback plan.

And that wildcard list is turrible, all of them.
