The obvious answer here is that no one wanted him. Same reason he dropped in the draft and wasn’t playing this season even though we could have used his skills set.

Reed Sheppard had a nice game for the Rockets against the Clippers. 10-25, 28 points, 6-15 3 pts, 8 reb, 4 asst and 4 steals, in 33 minutes.

It takes two to make a trade. No one wanted to spend a 1st on Cam despite his elite upside ability. Philly was not going to take him off our hands just to unload a high character guy who exploded on the scene last season.

That’s pretty apparent now. I just wish the Rockets could’ve put together a package to get Grimes. While the Rockets have a solid roster I still think they need to add another shooter. In my opinion, Grimes a perfect fit.

Agree Grimes will be a perfect fit though if he doesn’t sign an extension with Philly he becomes an unrestricted FA next off season.
