You can post all kinds of financial analysis. What matters most right now is that these acts of domestic terrorism stop immediately. These same domestic terrorists are looking at five to 20 years in jail. Their portraits like past domestic terrorist rightfully so will be for all to see. We can’t allow anarchy.
That is exactly why I posted this.
Ask yourself this question:
Do these acts of terrorism affect Tesla’s stock?
These acts of domestic terrorism have one goal. Force Musk out.
X is owned by Musk. Tesla is owned by Musk.
What did I mention earlier? Oh yes, the domestic terrorist’s end game is to force Musk out. Indeed it matters equally to X and Tesla.
Please stop derailing this thread. We aren’t going there.

I’m sure you’ll be unhappy I moved this to a new thread. I wanted to answer your question though and didn’t want it to continue to derail the other thread.
I’m not sure what effect it has on Tesla’s stock. Tesla’s stock was already going down for some of the same reasons as people have been inspired to commit these criminal acts. Plus Tesla’s stock has been going down due to their own financial performance.
X on the other hand, is not publicly traded and thus the market valuation is going to be based more on financials, which may not be public. The main reason X is getting a higher valuation is because of the deal(s) Elon sealed for more capital. Interestingly, these deals required him to put in more cash as well. I would say that means that the investors don’t see Elon as a liability or X as a target like they do with Tesla.
That’s just my two cents. How do you think it affects the X valuation?
Where was the outrage the last 10 years of Tesla’s getting vandalized because they were good for the environment?
The current vandalism isn’t affecting it’s share price. It’s lack of sales.

You have a point but I would say the escalation to arson makes a big difference. If someone keys your car, it is unlikely to spread and cause more damage. If someone sets it on fire, it could. That’s the only difference I see.
Well, the thought of buying a car that’s getting
a lot of unwanted attention, will turnoff some buyers, which will hurt sales and thus stock prices.
The vandalism MAY also cause insurers to raise rates on the cars as well. Which could hurt sales and thus stock prices.
Then there is higher then normal rate of owners wanting out of the car, which impact
used Tesla market. And for some buyers that may another reason to not buy, and that could
impact stock price.
Of course the people buying the stock at this point are paying the high PE for the potential
NEXT BIG thing they believe Tesla will deliver- AI or robot in every house, or something else.
Who would have thunk a couple of heartfelt salutes could have such an impact.
In the previous era of Tesla hate, there were
videos of people chasing Teslas and intimidating the drivers. That was dangerous
too, but I dont recall any actual accidents from
that foolery thankfully. Ah the good old days !
My point was the vandalism isn’t the cause for the sales slump.
Insurance claims for damages and burned up Tesla’s could very well lead to more sales as insurance companies pay off for repairs (parts) and replacements. That’s a win for Tesla…which those idiots doing the vandalizing should understand. They’re not helping their cause.
It’s the reason behind the vandalism. Most people are just doing what they see as the right thing, not buying from an open Nazi supporter. Not only did he do the salute, twice, then he runs around denying it while speaking at far right events, including in Germany ffs and this is all after he literally let open Nazis back in Twitter. He’s getting what he deserves.

I don’t remember that. Certainly not appropriate or safe behavior either. I remember it happening with a bus but Tesla doesn’t make busses.
Oh I get all that. He has brought it all on himself. The Nazi jokes, all of it.
And then, in this interview, you almost feel sorry for him being so stupid to insult
1/2 his potential customers, by saying…
I always thought that the left, you know, Xxxxxxx, were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring, and yet they’re burning down cars, they’re firebombing dealerships, they’re firing bullets into dealerships, they’re smashing up Teslas," Musk said.
Just genius level of stupidity in going after 1/2 of his potential US buyers.
Total lack of common sense.
