Over under wins

Vegas has spoken. +140 to go under 5.5 wins. -185 to go over 5.5 wins.

I will take the over. If we had even a below average offense instead of one that was so bad it finished next to last in FBS in scoring we might have won 6 last year. The two huge stumbling blocks to success—quarterback and offensive line—have been addressed. I see us winning at least 7.

Who really knows with all the new faces?
I can see six or hopefully 7 wins with a bowl game.

All of them, or just the bad apples?

Vegas letting Coogfans know how delusional their high expectations are

We typically have better seasons when there is low expectations.

I see 5 wins as the floor and 7 wins as the ceiling

6-6 should be fine.

Six or seven.

Vegas is saying we likely win 6 games. But they didn’t put the Fritz factor in their algorithm, so we’ll prolly win 7 or 8. It’s a step in the right direction.

Yeah, the Vegas that picked Arizona St to come in last a year ago? My nephew picks better than Vegas. He’s 8.

How you make an educated guess on something like this, with all the roster turnover (on all teams), is a mystery.
Just set the line at a spot where we think people will bet money and cross your fingers.

The win predictions for the B12 range from 5.5 to 8.5 wins for several “favorites”. B12 is predicted to easily have the most parity among the P4 next season. I’m optimistic we’ll have a solid defense and offense that can keep games close and steal a few late to hit the over.

If we win less that EIGHT wins, we have serious problems.

We have a cupcake OoC schedule and a very manageable Conference Schedule.

The Big 12 doesn’t even have a preseason top 10 squad in its Conference!

You’re forgetting how bad we were last season.

That’s why some of us are being conservative in our predictions, though I’d love to be wrong and see us win 10+ next year!

As you keep saying…

A new coach deserves one mulligan…that was last year.

Anything less than 8 wins, according to our own President, is unacceptable.

The previous AD handed CWF a cupcake OoC schedule so that is 3 wins right there. (Rice/ SFA/ Oregon State)

If Vegas only thinks we can get 2.5 wins after that then what the F are we doing, as a program!!!

NO excuses…sweep the OoC and find a way to win at least 5 Conference Games.

Don’t be dramatic. Fritz taking us to a bowl game for the 1st time in B12 play at 6-6 in year 2 would be signs this is heading in the right direction. Another win and going something like 7-5 and the momentum from that would probably carry us into being a Top 25 team and B12 title contender for the following year

He’s entitled to one SUCKY season.

6 or 7 wins wouldn’t be sucky.

But as bad as we were last year, I won’t bet on any higher win total.
