Big 12 has 4 G5s that joined the Big 12 where UH, Cincy have been in a power conference before. BYU has always been big enough to be a power brand and UCF came up the rankings fast due to one of the highest enrollments. 12 other universities already in a power conference compared to new PAC12 with only 2 schools that were in a power conference. Not even close. They are a closer to G5…
I wonder if the same people laughing at this are the same people who swear Oregon State, in it’s 2nd year from removal as a P5, state that they are a “P4” worthy OOC opponent…
Seems similar to the old AAC and that’s exactly what our former commissioner would’ve said. Good on the Pac commissioner for advocating for their league. Ultimately though they’ll need to earn it on the field/court.
