PAC 12 Commish says PAC Light is closer to ACC or Big 12 than G5

Uh, no.

Just no.

The PAC Light is much closer to the G5 than the P4.

I have a hard time deciding which PAC Commissioner was/is dumber, Kliavkoff, or Gould.

Conference realignment: Is something brewing in Pac-12 expansion? – Deseret News).

Quote: Though in an interview with Wilner, Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould was adamant that the rebuilt Pac-12 will be closer in form to the Big 12 and the ACC than it will be to the Group of Five conferences (American, Sun Belt, Conference USA, Mountain West and Mid-American).

On one hand, good on her for trying to sell the league.

On the other hand, this is literally the Mountain West plus the two weakest Pac 12 schools and Gonzaga.

Sorry, ms. Pac commish…i dont think so. PAC has to face fact they are G5 now and keep working.

I disagree with his statement, but what I will say is that the Big12/ACC is closer to the PAC12 than the SEC/B1G

Yeah, the results on the field don’t back that up.

There used to be a reality program on NBC called Average Joe. The average joes would compete to date a beautiful woman. One of the average joe finalists said: “I guess I am the best of the average Joes.”

The best that can be said about the PAC-12 is they are the best of the G5s.

So they ll be the CFP like the Big12?

It’s MWC 2.0

Big 12 has 4 G5s that joined the Big 12 where UH, Cincy have been in a power conference before. BYU has always been big enough to be a power brand and UCF came up the rankings fast due to one of the highest enrollments. 12 other universities already in a power conference compared to new PAC12 with only 2 schools that were in a power conference. Not even close. They are a closer to G5…

I wonder if the same people laughing at this are the same people who swear Oregon State, in it’s 2nd year from removal as a P5, state that they are a “P4” worthy OOC opponent…
