Pac-2 going after Boise, Fresno State, Colorado State and San Diego State

So why would MWC teams want to join the PAC2 when they could just bring those two schools into the MWC?

Gives them a more marketable brand and allows them to escape from some of the leagues bottom feeders like Hawaii and SJSU.

No. She’s saying Colorado sucks–can’t handle the Big 12. Just poking the bear (or buff).

Big 12 needs to reel in UNLV. Talk about a program on the rise, the city/market, media exposure, travel destination.

Oh I’d rather go to Boise

Yeah so her own joke makes it sound like her league isn’t as tough.

Is UNLV better than the ACC options that are allegedly soon to become available.

Up until the last 2 seasons, UNLV was forgotten program.

Big 12 isn’t a charity. Just like with UConn, UNLV doesnt bring enough to the table. Especially when ACC schools are likely to be available soon.

Just on one aspect, many expressed the same perspective about that commuter school on Cullen Boulevard.

which is why our leaders are doing everything they can to shed our Commuter Campus reputation ASAP!

Probably dictated to them as part of our Big 12 entry.

Commuter Schools are just NOT Power 4 worthy
period.

If our student attendance during our first 2 games is any indication, they’ve really focused on attracting more Traditional Students
not 35 year old with two kids that commute from Katy for classes, in between their full time job.

We now have satellite campus to serve those students.

And par for the course you’ve missed the point.

YOU:

That’s called a euphemism.

I passed on the “I live on this site” membership.

Plus SMU is more or less blackballed from the Big 12.

I read the Wyoming and Utah St. Boards to see what they think.

Wyoming fans don’t think they will be in the PAC-12. Utah St. was more optimistic, but overall didn’t expect it.

Most want UTEP and New Mexico St.

Some want to bring in Montana, Montana St. South Dakota St. and North Dakota St.

Others think Texas St. is a good option.

UTSA was mentioned quite a bit along with other AAC schools. Doesn’t the AAC have a much better TV contract than the current MWC?

I think is a good move by the schools involved. I would add Memphis, UNLV, New México, and Gonzaga. Probably the 6th best basketball conference and best group of 5. They would likely get a playoff spot more often than not.

My prediction is this is going to collapse like a cheap suit. It’s a deck of cards. They don’t have a TV deal.

No, espn isn’t going to distribute more than it distributes to the AAC. Same with Fox to the MWC.

Watch, Oregon state and Washington state will end up in the MW next season.

One rumor I heard is a $15 million TV deal with TNT and Amazon Prime.

They’ll add Memphis, Tulane, UNLV, Texas State, UTSA, and two other schools to become 12.

“Best of the Rest” conference.

That $15M may happen if they sign a GOR. Remember, no AAC schools signed a GOR just in case we got the call up.

If we had signed a GOR, we may have gotten $10-$12M instead of $7M.

The PAC-12 didn’t have a GOR. I wonder if they will sign one now.

As much as I hate to say it, only Memphis has any sustained success out of that group. The others might be a coaching change away from returning to their norm which is real terrible.
