I parked in the LAZ Parking lot on 609 S. Alamo and paid $20. Now I got a letter stating I did not pay and they want $87 dollars! I of course don’t have the receipt just my CC statement but I’m sure that won’t be good enough. I’ve read this is a common scam they pull and since it’s a private lot they can’t force me to pay or send to collections. This happen to anyone else?
SAPD gotta fill that quota
Edit: Nvm its a private lot. F em. I wouldnt give them a damn thing.
OR if you want, send em $87 in pennies.
I received the same letter. I used the LAZgo app to pay so it made it a little easier to send a screenshot of the record. Unfortunately, you’ll probably need to get on the phone to try and rectify. Absolute scam for sure.
All I can do is leave a message and on the voice recording it says all appeals must be done in writing. I’m reporting them to the BBB for what good that will do.
at the bottom of the notice it mentions an online option for correspondence.

Never talk or contact people trying to scam you.
How did they get your address ?
Lyft and Uber jack up their prices after the game. I paid $8.00 from our hotel to the Alamodome. for the trip back it when up $27.00
The parking app account sign up…
How long after the game did you have to wait for a ride? I made the wife walk back in the rain after hearing some of the horror stories of the Final 4.
They also scan every license plate that enters the lot.
Don’t report them to the BBB. Report them to the city of SA. They have to be licensed every year to sell parking concessions. And the city of SA is a pretty organized bunch. Tourism is the fuel that drives their economy. If people are screwing with that they’d want to know.
Haters bc they lost
DPS is not supposed to give that information.
Built in scam.
I got the same letter too, I sent them a pic of my receipt.
I think you guys should not just contact the lot, but should also call this in to the city of San Antonio as was suggested above. I live in San Antonio and park in private lots frequently. I’ve never had an issue like this and it sounds like a scam for sure.

This link above says private parking complaints can be called into the city of San Antonio at: (210) 207-6000. A few of you be willing to take the time should make a difference.
