Per Thamel: LSU claims nobody told them Haulcy was suspended for the first half of the Clemson game due to the fight vs BYU. LSU blames us and the NCAA

Yes, I took a little liberty on the UH assist take. Let’s just say UH had Herman and LSU wanted him. At the very least with Herman’s denials, LSU had to offer more money to Herman and ended up hiring their second choice, Ed Orgeron, who won a title for LSU and flamed out just as fast.

It is 100% on LSU and Haulcy. There is nobody else to blame. thamel is a tool.

It is possible Haulcy wasn’t told of the suspension, but that is the NCAA fault. They should notify the player as well as the school. However he should have known that was a pending issue and been looking for a resolution, except that’s the type of irresponsibility you expect in a college student. Either way, far from being the fault of UH.

Players have agents these days, it would be their responsibility to report an incident like this to a team interested, not the school he’s leaving.

Isn’t it just a 1 half suspension, no big deal

I was at all 3 of the games we played at LSU in 1996, 1999, and 2000. We almost won the 1996 game but LSU won it 35-34 late. We lost the 2000 game 28-13. But for all 3 games we were very competitive. After we beat them in '99, they fired their coach Gerry DiNardo.
