247 has us with 15 commits. Subtract Grace and Anderson which leaves us with 13.

Because of transfers we have 22 spots to fill, although we won’t necessarily give them out according to CMA.

So up to 9 spots left.

KFD91 has identified 15 guys that the new staff is actively pursuing. If we were to get half of these guys (which won’t happen) that still leaves us with 2 spots.

Looks like the staff has some heavy lifting to do to sign a full class before signing day.

Probably will be some surprises on Feb. 1st.

We lost Anderson?

The final day for mid year JuCo players to sign was January 15th. Maybe he can enroll during the summer. Some insiders have said he has eligibilty issues.

I still see him as commited, unless there is some academic issues. Last thing he posted on twitter in regards to UH was 6 days ago.

CMA has said that they probably won’t sign a full class in order to keep slots open for potential transfers. One of those slots may be for Anderson, who won’t be able to sign until his grades are fixed; that puts him signing in May/June when the semester is over.

I am grateful for every student that wants to play football at UH, but it looks like we are moving to our backup list to fill positions. We were offering almost exclusively to 3*. Now, the 2* are starting to float in to even make this class respectable. I am not saying there is a huge difference in the level between 2* and 3*, nor am I saying that I have forgotten all the fantastic 2* and walk-ons that have contributed to this program… But… with better recruiting, we have seen better on-field results. I expected decommits, but I also expected guys of the same evaluated level of talent to be flipped to UH to replace those decommits.

It’s tough with the coaching change this late in the process. The staff is just trying to get a class together.

We do have a lot of 3s still being offered and Noah Jones was a 3 who just committed so we’re still getting strong recruits.
