Exactly the kind of football I was hoping to see when Dana got here. This team does have gaps to fill – Jones struggles mightily with tall receivers, and our RB corps has looked bad against decent competition – but we’re undefeated in conference and pencilled into the CCG, and that’s all we can really ask for.

I totally did, and the 4 students of mine who came to the game did too! They were high fiving every player along the way. Got an on field picture with Derek. Talked to players, best night of their life they said.

Can’t wait for the annual Coogs cup with BYU. With UH, Cincy, and BYU all having stellar seasons the Big 12 is unquestionably going to be getting better with the new adds.

Our RB corps looks as good as the Oline has made look. Henry cannot bust open holes. He’s not that kind of back. Our Oline struggles just to create small cracks. Thankfully Dans isn’t letting them off the hook. You can’t change who you are because of three guys. Keep coaching them, encouraging them, threatening them. But they have to perform.

The wife and I spent all day on campus yesterday looking at some of the construction projects underway and learning about some that will start soon. The new entrance is going to be quite a showpiece.
Folks, SMU is a cute little college but we are becoming a big time University. I cant describe how UH has changed since I enrolled in 1972. So much more to come. Be proud, be Coogs!!
