Clown show.
Next heâll be like Dimel and say all we need to do is improve on offense, defense, and special teams.
âWe got worn outâ my ass
The cougar pride program and alumni organization are both clown shows. 16 yeas ago my wife bought me a lifetime membership to the alumni organization as a present. She didnât go to U of H but her name not mine is on the plaque on the alumni center columns. I have 2 degrees from UH and requested a correction - crickets. Iâve made Director Circle level contributions over the years and never received an acknowledgement nor a decal for my car. Iâm feeling under appreciated and not interested in making additional contributions.
I know someone who was enrolled to give a monthly donation from his bank account, but they just quit withdrawing. He tried to get it corrected with them, but itâs like they just donât want his donations since they have quit doing withdrawls again.
UH fan engagement has never been great in all it years beyond the occasional pep rally back in the day. That all goes onto the athletic dept starting from the top on downâŠPeople think Michigan and the likes had FB program annointed with 100k fans showing up on gameday automatically. Not so. They built that program fan attendance and along came one personality as AD in there history who was transfomative to the program and built the foundation to having to what we see today a 100k showing up rain or shine on FB days.
"When Don Canham became athletic director at the University of Michigan in 1968, the football team was struggling with attendance, as many of the 101,001 seats in the Big House remained empty during the season. Canham sought to address this issue mainly through the adoption of season ticket mailers and shrewd marketing tactics. Thanks in large part to his efforts, since 1975, Michigan has seen at least 100,000 fans attend each football game.
In addition to certain logistical adjustments, Canham also worked to turn Michigan football into a âspectacle.â He popularized tailgate parties, where friends and family would get together to eat and drink before football games, and introduced âPom-Pom girlsâ to the sidelines for the first time. He also emphasized the importance of the Michigan Marching Band, allowing it to perform before, during, and after games.[1] Canhamâs vision of sports as spectacle came to include basketball as well. For a New Yearâsâ Eve basketball game, Canham created a so-called Family Night, allowing families to attend at a discounted, group rate.
The Michigan students themselves fell in love with Canhamâs ideas. Writing in The Michigan Daily, Geoff Larcom explained, âCanham peddles the fall weather, the town, and the pregame tailgating. He asks: âDo you want to miss out on this when it happens only six or seven times a year?â And we say, âHell no!â and hop on the bandwagon."
We were competitive in all but KSU. Not too many one score losses in Big 12 play.
Worn out plays to depth concern.
This game exemplifies why he should not be our HC.
We start really well. TOâs happen.
This is where it âtipsâ the balance for me:
This is clearly defined for us.
CDH and Belk are not good enough to adjust to the opposition in the second half.
How many times has this happened?
Totally agree. Good coaching staffs make adjustments at halftime. Ours never does.
If your team got âworn outâ then you need a new strength and conditioning guyâŠ
We got worn out by his ineptitude!
Dana said he had a Big 12 roster.
That means he doesnât do sh-t to develop players.
He also said he will play both Donovan and Coley to give both guys an equal chance! Well, weâve seen how that went!
This is precisely why I believe UH could fix its attendance issue if it really wanted to. The admin just has to make it a priority.
Coley isnât even a QB anymore
And therein lies the question about Danaâs recruiting. Your top two QBs are portaleers and one isnât gonna play his position, allegedly.
At the beginning we seemed prepared. Ceaser covering the screen had me laughing. That WR assigned to block him must have been crapping his pants.
Clearly on the pick-six we were ready
I think they wanted to beat us without using Gordon to let him heal-up for their better coached opponents. When we got the jump on them they simply unleashed the hound
Ollie, Ollie oxen free is a great runner. Heâs a real pleasure to watchâŠeven injured.
