Prayers for Tank

Why not wait for a definitive diagnosis, and some word from an orthopedic surgeon?

Patrick Edwards. That was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw Tank’s injury.

Just to clarify this is my original quote:

I purposely worded it that way because there is the possibility I’m wrong and it’s not as bad as it appears. But I have seen enough leg injuries to know it’s unlikely I’m wrong.

But my god do I hope I’m wrong.

Because you couldn’t wait to come on here with your typical doom and gloom BS with absolutely no information at all to go by.

Yes, very disturbing but not a diagnosis.

We all do. He’s my favorite player. He’s the only player whose jersey I bought.

Of course I didn’t like what you said. It was premature and an ignorant thing to say that he career was over. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, but it’s still WAY too early to make that determination. And it’s. It up to us to make that determination or decision. Just try to tap the breaks on your typical worst case scenario predictions.

This is where you make a fool of yourself and show just how little you know about me. You assume I rushed here happy to pronounce the end. But you’re dead wrong. I’m venting my frustration with what happened, and my anger that this had to happen to Dell. I’m saying what everyone is thinking simple as that.

I understand now why you are upset, I’m sorry brother it hurts to see our favorite players suffer gruesome injuries.

Completely possible it’s premature I’ll give you that. But it’s still very unlikely just based off what I know and have seen when it comes to these injuries. Maybe we get lucky and it’s a Nick Chubb scenario and he comes back in a limited capacity.

I have seen a few myself- and since I wasn’t there when he was examined, I’ll just wait for the diagnosis.

Fair enough.

What is wrong with some of you arguing while Tank is at a cross road. You want to argue? Do it through pm’s. Man, unreal.

All thinking of you Tank!!!

Agree this is the stupidest pissing match I’ve ever seen. You both got big CACKS! Now stfu. Fook!

Me too. It happened because Marshall University left a golf cart iirc parked too close to the field out of bounds and Edwards crashed right into it and breaking his leg. Complete negligence that was easily avoidable. Tribute to him for making it back and having a great season the year after that.

It was those stupid metal band carts. And I remember friggin Lou Holtz, who was announcing the game, couldn’t even be bothered to talk about the injury while it was happening, but instead wanted to talk about some personal story of his.

In all your time on coogs fans this is the stupidest pissing match? I don’t think our spat is worth that honor lol.

I think he might be able to come back from this if it’s only a dislocated knee cap, right? He could be fine in a few months. I really really hate this. It might be a good sign that it didn’t require immediate surgery.

THAT I can agree with. It wasn’t ā€œget your popcornā€ worthy, but far from the stupidest.

Hopefully it is just kneecap. My son just saw this photo and said that’s exactly what his kneecap looked like… except son’s went to the outside instead of the inside of the knee.

:crossed_fingers:

This is true… no surgery is a major positive.

We didn’t even devolve into name calling like most arguments.

Tank is on his way back to Houston. They are still talking to doctors and evaluating.

I don’t know what the prognosis for Tank is, but I feel much more optimistic about Tank now than I did yesterday. I was thinking about when Patrick Edwards sustained a compound fracture when he hit the cart at Marshall and was hoping it wasn’t as bad as that. But Edwards rebounded and had a great rest of his time at UH. I am just praying for the best results for Tank – both for his sake and for me selfishly wanting to be able to see his great play for a long time. I would like to see him become a Hall of Famer. He, Marcus Jones, and Clayton Tune are my favorite NFL players. (Since Case isn’t playing, I didn’t include him.)
