5,000 is still > 4

This is not the time to make excuses. We are potentially facing the biggest hostage situation that we have ever witnessed. We are now facing the fact that they are potentially multiple jihadists terrorists within the Afghan evacuees. The Pentagon is acknowledging that there are an indefinite number of refugees that had not been vetted. We can all foresee what this could mean to us and Europe.
Time for Chicken Little to make an appearance.
Perhaps even baby shark.

Here’s an interesting perspective from an Afghan Army three star.
His point of view is fundamentally flawed. We were there for twenty years. You can’t organize yourself and build a true national defense in 20 years? Keep in mind that 80% of the Afghani population was not born prior to 9/11. The Afghani presidents since we entered Afghanistan had a primary role. Build Nationalism. They failed miserably. Was it to be expected? Of course it was since Afghanistan is made of multiple fractions. What the commander is not pointing out is the lack of a minimum unity. When he mentions corruptions he is telling us they (different fractions) were never united. From this angle this mission was deemed to fail from the first day. The result is we spent 20 years, thousands of our men and women heroes were killed. The commander mentioning that he blames the previous administration is again flawed since the previous accord between the taliban, Afghani forces and US/Allied forces was based on pre-conditions. None of this abject debacle would have happened if this administration had followed these pre conditions. Never did this accord allow for the taliban taking over. For years the taliban have been intimately “connected” to past Afghani administration. We are being told we should have never agree to speak to the talibans. Again all previous administrations did. The past administration based this treaty on pre-conditions. It is the exact opposite to what we have seen take place in the last two months or so.
What did happen in the last nine months or so? First this new administration took away the air cover and air “power” that the Afghani army had. The commander mentions it. This was critical and this what “tipped” the scale. Without air cover the Afghani army was going to lose their “slim” advantage. Who authorized this decision? We still have not heard any answers from our leaders.
What is UNBELIEVABLE is that blinken, austin and miley have not yet resigned. These so called leaders are responsible for hundred of lives including 13 heroes.
Americans in Afghanistan:
The Pentagon started saying that they were about 16K prior to the evacuation. They told us that they rescued 5 to 6k. This leaves 10k Americans unaccounted for. Just about two weeks ago many congress members said that they had hundreds registered in their state that were unaccounted for. This would explain the 10k unaccounted for.
Private “rescuers”:
Just two weeks ago this administration prohibited retired armed forces from rescuing American stranded. Now they are all for it.
It is confirmed that interpreters are being executed. This is far from having a dialogue with the taliban.

Right after Trump lost the election, Milley discovered the President had signed a military order to withdraw all troops from Afghanistan by January 15, 2021, before he left the White House.

You are posting an article about a book with a clear agenda. This book amoung others were designed specifically to take down you know who. This is a hit piece with no facts.
Now Re-read the conditions of our Afghani “exit” from the previous administration. They were conditions based. The new administration decided to scrap it. I am sure many military leaders objected to it but none spoke up or resigned. Now they have blood on their hands and minds. You can’t/we can’t ignore the truth. What is extremely concerning is the hundreds of thousands of Americans, allies, Afghani friends stranded.

I’d bet you it’s full of facts. Woodward’s never been someone who’s had a problem with making things up. He’s been the gold standard in political reporting for half a century. Sorry if you don’t like these facts. Well, not sorry . . . .

BREAKING NEWS
The Washington Post report is true. General Mark Miley did speak to the chinese therefore undermining the past administration as well as the current administration. Can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot? Immediately the press would have been going after him and you know who.
It is against the law for any military officer to do so. He should be stripped of his ranking and court martialed immediately. Furthermore The Wall Street Journal is reporting the following:
We now know that he was fully aware of the Afghan army floundering with the imminent fall of Kabul. He did not take proper action to secure American citizens, green card holders, key allies and military personal.
We have been fed lies after lies after lies.
If the Milley talking to China part is true (and I know it’s been confirmed that it was), are other parts of Woodward’s book true? Or did he just get lucky with that piece?
