North Freeway/Gulf Freeway/I-45
Katy Freeway/Baytown/East Freeway/I-10
South Freeway/Hwy. 288
Northwest Freeway/290

And then you have the other Baytown Freeway (Tx 146), the LaPorte Freeway (Tx 225), the Tomball Parkway (Tx 249) and its associated Aggie Expressway/Tomball Tollway, and of course, the Grand Parkway/Hwy 99.

Basically, just follow your navigation directions, and don’t try to figure out where you’re going. :slightly_smiling_face:

I haven’t eaten there yet because I live out of town

But everyone in Houston is saying Truth BBQ and Pinkerton’s BBQ are legit.

Gonna try to eat at one before the game Friday
 Go Coogs!

If you’re downtown then The Flying Saucer is a good spot for beer

I prefer pit room.

Truth can be hit and miss at times on the proteins, but i have high standards. Pinkerton is fantastic.

Truth is good but it’s not worth the 30+ minute wait

Pit Room is the best

Don’t underestimate using the train to eliminate need for parking.

Just roam around till you see a tailgate you like and you might be offered a beer if you’re respectful, not a jerk and your smack isn’t too lame.

Hey @GoBuffs, welcome to Houston. Houston is the 4th largest city in the U.S. so there are plenty of great restaurants. What type of food do you like?

This is the important question.

We need preferred cuisine.

Also, if the colorado folks want to check out something unique, look into The Houston Cistern or the observatory at Buffalo Bayou State Park.

Buffalo Bayou isnt a state park. Unless you mean the Skate Park there lol.
I prefer Pitt room over Truth. It’s also slightly closer to campus as well if out of towners care.

Houston has nearly any cuisine you can imagine. Check out eater maps for a guide to Houston food or the r/HoustonFood subreddit.

I’ve never been to Truth, but we “discovered” Pit Room about 2 months ago. LOVE IT!

Thank you. I think BBQ will be on the menu. I’m also partial to good Mexican food. That being said, I’m pretty open on game day and more so looking for a good hangout or restaurant/bar to have some drinks before wandering over to the Buffs Bash.

Get vietnamese. Trust me. It is very very good here.

On campus there’s the Den where you can get some drinks

Top ten sports bars in Houston. Many of these are Downtown which is not far, but not within walking distance, from the stadium.

There are so many great BBQ restaurants in Houston, it is hard to pick one over the other.

Thank you, sir!

I go to different pop-up markets around the city & ppl are always selling prints of their photographs (varying levels of expertise & subject matter).

I buy them if I like them or their unique, but I’d much rather spend my $$$ on this.

If you want the BBQ/Tex Mex fusion go to the Pit Room affiliated Candente.

I demand to know where your best corn is.

It isn’t like you’re used to. I grew up in the northeast driving with my grandfather to a corner near the river/bridge where one of the farms (usually Froehlich’s) had a small flatbed loaded up with fresh sweet corn that had been picked that day. That’s not here to my knowledge.

What? Sweet corn is easy to find around here when it’s in season, which isn’t now.
