Difference is im not a professional AD but IF I was:

I wouldn’t have 1) rushed to extend a coach in his last year, when nobody was after him & 2) give him an iron clad buyout

That was foolishness

I watched last season. I was at the Texas Tech game in NRG where we blew a huge lead and i watched us lose to Cincinnati- the rest we won but we ALL know last season’s schedule was fabricared to get easy wins, stability and an extension.

They accomplish their goal
my point is they didn’t have to rush so the buyout is on Pez and Tilman
THEY signed off on it

Thats what I have been saying and everyone seemed to be against it. Boy, have we missed out. What we would have gained far outnumber what we would have had to pay out to release CDH.

Once again we did not miss out because we have a coach under contract.
Even if we had the money to pay Dana off does anyone here honestly think he would have picked UH over Colorado?

Yes. I believe he would have come to UH. Texas ties, better recruiting, P5. It would’ve been a better fit and an easier turn around.

But we are stuck with CDH and we have to be patient because B12 is hard. It’s not like he’s had an opportunity to prepare for it.

Prime is about Prime.

I’m sure he’ll get the program on tract and once he does he’ll say bye bye and move on to something bigger.

Is that what UH needs? Another Herman who comes in and has a successful season and then moves on within 2-3 seasons? Hell no!!
