Prime to Colorado

Exactly…people seem to forget he has raised every single aspect of the University of Colorado.

Football wins from year before he took over- Up!
Premiere Nationally televised Games- Up!
Attendance- Up!
School Applications- Up!
Donations- Up!
Local Economy due to CP- Up!

Funny how the same people who want to give CWF 3 years to Rebuild want to run out Coach Prime as he is starting his second season.

Yeah as long as he’s polarizing and filling up stadiums, he’s not getting canned.

Smoke and mirrors, when his kids leave he will move on and CU will be back in the dumps. He needed a place to showcase his kids talents and he chose CU. Prime is all about Prime, sorry CU. He got exposed by Rhule and Nebraska.

That’s all great and dandy, but the problem is that it’s not sustainable long term at the rate they’re going

it was almost like a Private Equity investment that went south. Actually, that’s exactly what it is and will be

Is it the same though? No, it isn’t.

I’m neither four or against coach Prime. I could care less, really. Speaking objectively, he’s been at Colorado for exactly one season and two games. He took over a complete dumpster fire that produced almost nothing in the last decade… Not too different than when Briles took over UH.

If after three seasons, he isn’t elevating the program with more wins then I’m sure the boosters will start to question whether to keep them around as HC. When someone is paid that type of money to win, then questioning, the HC is warranted. Until then, I find all this kind of talk extremely premature. In fact, it’s as premature and ridiculous as some of the statements regarding Fritz. Just my two cents…

We got a coach in CWF who knows how to build a program, knows how to recruit and how to win. UH will be set for the long haul.

yes…it is.

Colorado had ONE win, in the previous season (2022), when CP arrived on campus.

Houston had FOUR wins, in the previous season (2023), when CWF arrived on campus.

CP had a +3 Improvement in his first year (2023).

CWF will have a +? Improvement in his first year (2024)?

Most here think it will be a +0 or even a -?

CP had the bigger Re-build project than CWF had so the " CDH left us with a cupboard is bare situation" arguments are moot.

I’m actually bullish on CWF so I do think he will have a+1 or +2 but he has to earn it…Coach Prime already accomplished a +3

Colorado has had the resources of a Power 5 school for decades.

UH has had the resources of a Power 5 school for 2 years

Yes, both programs are rebuilds, but to suggest that UH has an easier job than Colorado is hearsay.

Colorado joining the PAC was the first mistake they made, but they still made a lot of money compared to UH in G5 conferences.

yet. despite being a 1st year P5, CDH won us 4 games.

Colorado, despite being a long term P5 program, only managed to win ONE game in the seaon before Prime arrived.

Yes, Dana won 4 games in his first season in the Big 12.

Against - UTSA, Sam Houston, West Virginia and Baylor ->1 of which was a lucky hail mary and the other an overtime win against one of the worst teams in the Big 12

But, but, but we could have had Prime and his circus.

I think Deion and his hype train worked in an early NIL world, but now with the money that is flowing, promising exposure, modest NIL, and forcing fans to listen to your rap songs is not cutting it with the big time recruits, especially when everyone else starts poaching his guys the way he was poaching theirs. He is going to need to start recruiting more modestly and developing players and if he can do that he will have a long career, if not he will bounce after his kids graduate.

All of that stuff you listed is either going down after peaking or will be soon.

He’s done.

You can’t play favorites……you think people didn’t notice when his spoiled son walked off the field early?

There was no discipline.

Talk poorly about the guys that are trying to block for you to National media……

There was no discipline.

Kids are seeing through his BS.

Not one compelling or persuasive argument in there

Success is viewed in Wins and Loses, on the field

Anyone without an obvious hatred for CP would take a +3 improvement in year one for a squad that only won ONE game (an OT win over CAL).

Now he needs to improve in year 2 but calls to fire him are laughable…he has literally brought Colorado from irrelevancy to the top discussion in the College Football world.

You’re defending Prime more than you have been defending Fritz lol

That being said, I think Prime gets 3 seasons. If it’s the same product next season, then I do think it’s over for him.

Yes, he brought Colorado to relevancy, but it wasn’t via the football field. It was marketing, advertising, and personality → all of which is not sustainable. Again, it was essentially a failed PE investment.

no…i’m very bullish on CWF…I think he can win 6 games this season.

I don’t think we need a long rebuild…just a re-tool but he will have to find a way to win ugly this season but once his recruits/ transfers come in …we will really take off.

Our dream THIS SEASON would be an improvement in + WINS to what Prime did last season so yeah…I’m not quick to bury prime.

He’s brought a TON of attention to Colorado

Y’all forget he coached HS football for 10 years.

Not so much forgot as don’t care, because it doesn’t really matter. Maybe he should go back.
