Ramon Walker Jr

Exactly. Everyone who is quick to say that he needs to transfer out needs to cut him some slack.

Last year he injured his hand and was forced to play a significant part due to Sasser and Mark’s injuries. In reality that should have been his redshirt year.

He worked hard and sacrificed his body for the team. The least he deserves is the full support and encouragement from the fans.

Ramon’s freshman highlights. The young man can play.

He may have some hard to diagnose illness.

Its tough. Sharp & Arceneaux are high rated, talented players. And even they are wanting more PT

Coach plays who he trust (his big 3). Sasser, Shead, Mark. Each getting like 30+ minutes

Unfortunately, i think it started with the Alabama game. After that game, Sharp & Arceneaux were looked at as 1st options off the bench instead of Ramon

Hoping the best for the kid!

I said the exact same thing (“bad on ball defender on the perimeter”) earlier this year and numerous people on here took issue with it.

Idk why. It is a fair criticism of his game.

I wouldn’t necessarily say bad, but just not “#1 team in the nation good.” He’d eat some dudes up in the A10.

Well that probably wraps up his career here most likely. Which is rough, we all love his hustle and grit. But it definitely seems like a fresh start is something Walker really needs at this point.

With the way Ramon hustles and rebounds I truly think if he shot like he did in HS he would be the first off bench

Not me, I was right there with you. He was weirdly slow guarding the perimeter this year. Feet looked like they were moving through mud. He was never lightning quick out there but it looked like he somehow lost a step in the offseason. Flat out refused to shoot open 3s, too. I suspect he’s been dealing with some kind of nagging injury(ies).

Take the redshirt off of Mylik Wilson or no need ?

Wilson’s defense got him 20+ minutes vs the best of the TT schedule last season.
Not much on offense except one game v Miss St.

@UHFinal4 no need. We’re at game 18. So, halfway thru the season

Kinda unfair to burn a player’s redshirt this far into the season. Especially for just a bench role.

We still have our (5) guard rotation. Shead, Sasser, Mark, Sharp, Arceneaux

Good. They need to figure out his shooting.
He got those minutes vs Kansas, etc barely scoring. He could be a surprise w offense work.
A solid scorer at UL La before TT.

And that rotation is nothing nice. Its impressive.

Dangerous to speculate on something serious like that on a public message board.

@UHFinal4 in all honesty a lockdown defender like Mylik Wilson, would be great off the bench right now.

But unfortunately you gotta manage “players camps/entourage”

If Mylik was getting minutes that would eat into Arceneaux and Sharp minutes.

You gotta try and make everyone happy, so no-one transfers in the off-season

I would really like to see him have more opportunity to develop here and grow from this video.

Lots of potential.

He showed a ton of promise last year.

If Ramon is going to portal out I would think he should finish out this year with his teammates and fans
