Gotta say no to this one. If you think about it you realize it is considerably more complex and time consuming for the field prep folks. This translates to more cost for an already strained budget.

Really? Ok what are the dimensions of each square? Now lets go locate precisely each and every corner. Now…do we paint everything white and then mask off the parts we want to remain white and then paint red or the reverse? You do one end of the field in checkerboard and I’ll do the other as done now. I bet I finish first and use less labor and material.
This a professional team. They have an advanced painting system that Duarte brought in a few years ago, that allows them to put all sorts of designs and wash it off quickly. Also, I’m sure that they would have a stencil.
I am okay with copying the Tennessee Volunteers for one game. I must admit it makes for a great visual on the telly. Except the only way to see it is to be there or have ESPN+.

We have a computer program to design and print different designs on our turf. It takes less than a day to change the design on the field.
Alt unis “wE aReNt “insert team” wHy wEaR tHAt CoLoR?!? Tennessee checkboard endzones?!? Yeah I’m ok with that….

The problem I have with this is it is a gimmick and gimmicks are for losers. It is a feeble attempt to draw fans when the product on the field is not good enough to draw fans. Blue uniforms are a gimmick are changing our game uniforms for every game is a gimmick. Other than black for ourld s Halloween game we should wear a standard uniform. Home is red hat, red jersey, and white pants while the road uniform is red hat, white jersey, and red pants. Let’s win games instead of playing fashionistas.

Who cares if another school does it? A ton of schools have their school and mascot written in the end zones guess we can’t do that anymore.
I disagree. It’s not about drawing fans. Fans don’t come anyways. It’s about a cool design on the field. As far as uniforms, the Halloween black jerseys are the ones that need to go. Especially when they design the field in Halloween garb. It’s tacky in my opinion.
