Glad you bring this up Funk. What the ute fans did we can do to. We have less than two weeks to make this happen. Every possible avenues have to be considered to have a sell out crowd. Jeff and his team have to make this an event that we are all united between our Coogs. No matter how this season finishes our team and entire coaching staff deserves this. This is also important for next season. MAKE THIS GAME AN EVENT, FAMILY EVENT, FANS EVENT for all of Houston.

Games vs. Miami at the old Orange Bowl. Lots of thugs in the standing. Ingress and egress were also a problem.

Yea those horn fans yelling curse words at senior citizen Coogs and getting ice thrown at us. What a night to remember.

Yeah I don’t think I’ll go to an away game anymore

I don’t trust myself to behave properly should I be harassed

That is an excellent example. But the OB was gritty and yucky. I don’t think those transplants and assorted t-shirt fans were quite as intense as last night. But I was at neither.

Mississippi State. Probably not for absolute intensity, and we shut them up for a lot of the second half, but they were nasty people and those cowbells are a war crime according to the Geneva convention

I was there too.

Playing at A&M during the R&S years was certainly louder than that, especially when they ripped off Andre’s helmet.

The top 10 matchup at UT in 1990 was also deafening.

And the Tech game this year was pretty hostile.

I wasn’t at the game last night, but I doubt it was any more intimidating than those crowds, TV soundboards notwithstanding.

Maybe at Texas back in 1990.

During the broadcast, they said the crowd wasn’t active to the level they expected. This was before halftime I believe.

I saw them constantly saying it was loud as Hell.

They also said Utah scored when we hit the end zone.

That confused my wife to no end.

The two previous OU trips. Moreso, the trip in 2019 in prime time with Dana.

Uh, playing on opposing fields IS part of college football methinks. And, with that said, isn’t it part of a coaches ($$$$$$$$$$) duties to prepare a team for such events? And now, poor babies with their NIL packages ($$$$$$) , they have to suffer the indignities of playing on an opponents field in front of their home crowds.
Put it to a vote, see if the Cows and Farmers vote yes to having to leave their home blankets.

Leading 3-0 at halftime belies the notion that the coaches didn’t have the team ready.

Plus taking the ball for a 8 minute td drive to start the second half means they weren’t intimidated.

We lost the game because we couldn’t stop their QB in the second half and 21 missed overall tackles.

They were even nasty at the home game the following season…

I playfully said “Boo.” to a girl walking by and she told me “FCK YOU MOTHERFCKER!!!”:rofl::rofl:
