Ha, good point. Although one wonders if that $14.5M has already been left at the Craps Table in Vegas.

Hope he returned the statue to UH

He probably gave it to one of his hookers.

I hope he sanitizes it first.

Just briefly looking at Milos Uzan’s X feed… his first two posts are NIL posts for beats by dre and turbo tax…

I think UH1927 was right that Houston provides a unique opportunith for, what he deemed, bucket #2 of NIL.

bad link

I got bills to pay - (insert player name) needs don’t matter honestly - if hes going to test the market after getting nil then he doesn’t need to be here anyway

And how do we know if they’re getting legit offers or that’s their way of squeezing money out of us folks?

In a few years I’ll be asked to pay for the high school athlete, college athlete and we haven’t even got to the actual school’s need

All NIL deals are with players but this is in the process of changing. Stay tuned.

stop making sense thebottoms, it will never stop now; the train has let the station. my dad, a UNC grad, donates pretty good to their college of business and library, ahtletics he gives $100 a year; i’m inclined to do the same(i do business and engineering for UH) considering where college athletics is today; which is here:

Yes, our NIL needs whales but also needs small contributions from all of us. Everything adds up.

Some states already allow HS NIL. Texas may be one soon.

I’m not sure I trust those numbers, but regardless, we’re definitely competitive.

Assuming this is reliable

Tier 1: 3 ACC, 1 BE, 2 B12, 2 B10, 2 SEC

Tier 2: 2 ACC, 2 BE, 3 B12, 3 B10, 4 SEC

It’s a P5 world.

I freakin’ hate that TxTech is outgunning us in $$$…

But that’s what ~40 years of separation eating the scraps of the G5 Universe does to ya :man_shrugging:

That’s part of it, but I think the big thing is that they have managed to get their major donors all aligned, organized, and pointing the same direction. We have the donor firepower, but we don’t have the same kind of organizational strength.
