Russian Three Star General CAPTURED in Ukraine

Zelenskyy said Ukraine told no one about the Kursk invasion because its allies would have called it ‘unrealistic’ (msn.com)

Zelenskyy is using the vacuum of power in the WH to his advantage, and strategically unshackled from policy. Ukrainians are seeing the US has no policy for the Ukrainian war other than to provide support (which is a lot). The fact the Russian Air Force is having to drop bombs, in Russian territory, to fight Ukranianians is a huge embarrassment to Putin. I wonder where else Ukraine can incur into Russia and put further pressure on Putin.

Looks like North Korea has sent troops to fight against Ukraine.

Here’s how that’s going.

They are likely loving the access to things they can get in Russia they can’t get in NK.

I suspect with the new administration coming in support for Ukraine will fade and I fear Ukraine will have to concede to Russia. I may also hurt good paying jobs in the US that were created in the increased demand for manufacturing of weapons and supplies provided to Ukraine. I do not see the EU stepping up and doing more.

One of my biggest concerns about he who cannot be named is that he may insist that Ukraine give up some land, and, in effect, hand the aggressor Putin a victory.

That would be a HEINOUS result in my mind. Right up there with appeasing Hitler in Czechoslovakia.

It is game over for Ukraine, I do not see how it is not given the rhetoric and campaigning we saw. Ukraine will be forced to the negotiating table and will have to accept an offer that they can’t refuse, which is losing more of their country. The appeasement to Putin will continue if the US does not stand strong with its allies to stop him. I also expect us to withdraw from NATO as well.

Withdrawing from NATO would be equally HEINOUS, in my opinion.

And people wonder why I voted 3rd party.

Not going there, with voting. I do not want to go into time out.

It’s interesting how many people in the US (my mother was born in Kiev) want to continue to throw truckloads of money to Ukraine (never to be paid back btw) and the resto for the European countries, that are closest to it, are not chipping in their fair share. Perhaps they fear Russia turning off the oil spigot?
I believe the new administration will have more respect (you know it will) and can at least see about a cease fire and begin advanced talks.
But, again, are the other european countrie providing their own fair share?

We are not just giving them money. The money we allocate, 90% of it is used in the US to pay for the manufacturing. The money is being spent in the US, and helping Americans as well.

this is from an article. I can’t post the link because it has a banned word.

MESQUITE, Texas (AP) — At a bustling construction site outside of Dallas, there are hopes that Congress can finally pass nearly $95 billion in foreign aid including funding for Ukraine — because factory jobs in the United States depend on that money.

Aerospace and defense company General Dynamics’ new factory in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite is expected to initially employ 150 people to produce munitions. Set to open in June, construction is nearing completion, with newly planted trees and shrubs already in place at the complex overlooking one of the area’s busiest interstates.

“We want to increase our wages and increase our skill levels and job opportunities,” said Kim Buttram, Mesquite’s director of economic development, who added that the factory is expected to have over 300 jobs when it’s at full production.

US Aid to Ukraine Helps the American Economy and Boosts US Jobs | Wilson Center

US military support for Ukraine was the response of a strong leading nation to Russia’s unprovoked aggression against a neighbor, which threatened the European and global security order.

This aid has also helped the US economy thrive and has provided jobs for Americans, while undermining Russia’s military readiness.

Since the start of the large-scale invasion in February 2022, the volume of U.S. military aid to Ukraine over the ensuing one and a half years has exceeded $44 billion. While the figure looks daunting, it is less than 0.5 percent of the U.S. for 2023. At the same time, the funds provided by the United States and other of Ukraine’s allies have significantly eroded Russia’s military potential.

I suspect that the Russians will be given the land they currently occupy. Ukraine will not be given NATO admission but will sign a very public defense treaty with the U.S., Britain, France and Germany.

The war is over. The Russians get a land bridge to Crimea.

This war needs to end.

Some of the comments are getting really close to politics (probably are actually). Facts are fine, don’t cross the line, please.

I realize that we are gaining jobs producing munitions, but we are paying those jobs, the Ukrainians are not. In addition, I think it is fair to ask that outside of munitions, Ukraine is also getting cash money, where is that going? Is there any accountability?

Just asking.

Exactly. Giving someone money to buy your product is called credit. If you know they aren’t going to be able to pay you it is called stupid.

It is time to focus on Americans and spend money on Americans.

Time to end this war.

Should never yield to aggression. A dictator cannot be satisfied. Think history
shows that repeatedly.

When you are the biggest baddest dog on the planet (which we are), the most important thing to do is be completely transparent and tell people where you are pizzing (which we haven’t). You don’t worry about escalation, the other guy worries about escalation.

We have very outdated thinking that was established during the cold war.

This was a colossal mistake of lack of transparency. Which was followed up with mixed signals of our resolve. It is time to end this war and reestablish where our pizz line is.

By end the war….you mean surrender to Putin, and give him a victory, right?

Because that’s what giving Putin land would be.
