Russian Three Star General CAPTURED in Ukraine

South Korea is doing pretty well also.

The record reflects that we are GOOD at nation building.

A number of groups/interests are lobbying to stop further aid to Ukraine, so the dissenters here aren’t alone in their opinions. I understand the sentiment and reasoning, but strongly disagree.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.

“Neutrality” nearly ALWAYS favors the oppressor. It certainly would in this case.

It’s like the people that say we should cut off aid to Israel, and justify it by saying that we should be “neutral.”

As a general rule, those people are actually anti-Israel types that want the USA to do what the anti-Israel types and various Jihadist groups want (i.e., stay out of it so that their preferred side has a better chance of winning and destroying Israel).

Of course, for OBVIOUS reasons (like supporting free Western style liberal representative pro-gay democracy over the opposite), we will not.

ALWAYS take sides!

And if you take the bad guy’s side (like Russia’s in this Ukraine thing)…then POO ON YOU!!!

Many of the Palestinian-American issues with Israel are essentially the same issues Cuban-American’s have with Cuba. That discussion though…complicated as a word just scratches the surface. Israel is both victim and oppressor.

Ya know, one of the things that sucks about the American Left, is that even though they claim to be pro-gay, many of them actually take the “anti-gay” side in the Middle East.

Compare LGBTQ+ rights in Israel versus, let’s say, the Palestinian authority, or any other Middle Eastern nation.

There is no comparison.

At that point, it becomes obvious which side we, as the leader of the free, liberal, Western-style pro-gay democracies, we should be on.

This is a dumb take.

It’s definitely complicated. LGBTQ+ rights in all the Middle East but Israel are severely lacking. That doesn’t mean we should just look away from the decades of oppression and apartheid like state Israel has created. It’s just a single factor in a myriad of them.

The argument posts are boring. Get back to posting about the Russians fleeing and Ukrainian liberations. That’s much more positive.

Where are there quasi real time frontline maps on the internet?

Back when the Islamic state was being hit on multiple sides I was tracking one somewhere. Was interesting to follow even if accuracy might have been wanting.

This doesn’t have a “running” map, but it shows the sheer extent to which the Ukrainians have pushed back the Russians.

Thoughts on this one?

aside form the whole democracy argument…it is a great testing ground for our military equipment…I’m sure there will be a demand for HIMARS, Javelins and other equipment. that should benefit our defense industry…

Vlad didn’t even have the balls to fight Peter Griffin mano a mano. He deserves to go down!

None of them will give away the positions of units. I’ve been impressed by how little has been disclosed which would hurt the Ukrainians.
