McMurphy is reliable.
As far as realignment goes, so far he has only said that the SEC has no interest in FSU or Clemson. However, he says pretty confidently that FSU and Clemson would end up in the Big Ten
typo. Big Ten… Not Big 12.
When the first wisps of smoke were out there, he said no way. When it became obvious he was on the wrong train, he jumped over and became one of the guys saying it would happen.

If they come to the Big 12, they won’t stay long. Consolidation won’t stop. But at least we’ll get some more exit fees when they leave in 10 years.

Legal question
From what I understand, the new Big 12 media deal doesn’t technically start until 2025.
IF, FSU & Clemson were able to exit the ACC this year, could Yormark renegotiate the media deal since money hasn’t technically been paid out yet?
Meaning, Yormark wouldn’t have to wait until 2030-31. He could go to ESPN & FOX now to renegotiate before monies actually start moving around.

Calford was there for the taking and, although not world beaters, they would have been a good addition to the Big 12.
Maybe expansion stopped without them and WSU/OSU because the Clemseminoles had been discussed.
Ncst average like 8 or 9 wins a season and no one cares about miami.

I agree…Miami doesn’t even have an on-campus stadium and they are a small private school plus we’d already have two schools in Florida.
They are a No for the Big 12.

I think that the Big 12 schools would be willing to negotiate a deal for those two schools only (not Louisville, or Va tech, etc) due to their cache. However I agree that the expectation would be that the current media deals would need to be redone.
