The AAC would be a better conference than the B12 sans OU and UT. The AAC has a much better geographical footprint with much larger TV viewership possibilities than the remnants of the B12. The only real appeal left would be KU and OSU in basketball. It would seem that those two and WVU would be better candidates for the AAC than the sinking ship of the B12.
They do but not for long
Tech and TCU are the only ones of that bunch that interests anyone, especially around here.
Wooooooooowwww
You (or âanyoneâ) wouldnât want Baylor? Why?
Fire but not smoke? WTH???
But neither interest anyone outside of Texas, and they only interest pockets of Texas.
Being I started the thread due to legit source, last 10 mins I keep asking myself how soon it will be derailed due to politics, bad behavior . I sure hope not. Imo I hope the change happens bc it will fast frwd the remaining Confs to strengthen and the end result will be 64 Teams of 4 Super Confs and of course hoping, praying the Coogs will be part of 1 of them. 2024 or 2025 is the Ultimate goal to transition to Super 16s.
Baylor is going to open a lawsuit against UT and OU. Oops, and no Ann Richards this time.
Texas to the SEC would take them off the table for any other conference. Thatâs FANTASTIC news for us. It would also open up KU and the other Big 12 schools as realignment targets for the Pac. Itâs basically THE dream scenario.
Awesome!
Check the comments on this one in a few hours. They will be coming out of the woodwork.
The extra $$$ of adding those 2 would be worth the added competition.
With the expanded playoffs, you can have 2 or (maybe) 3 losses under the right circumstances and still get in.
But if the Pac picks at the Big 12 leftovers, where does that leave UH?
Per the SEC by laws:
âMembership may be granted by Invitation of the conference at a meeting of the chief executive officerâs. A vote of at least 3/4 of the members is required to extend an invitation for membershipâ
Basically 9 schools need to vote yes for each school to be accepted
Unless all of this is more smokeshow for OU and Texas to get something out of the Big 12⊠Theyâ ve done it before.
