If we canât clearly define whatâs âpolitical,â it probably doesnât make sense to ban it.
We should still focus on what to do about sophomoric insults (and those who keep taking the bait ) rather than any particular subject matter.
We know how threads go down the toilet.
What isnât political anymore
A global pandemic turned political
You, coogfansadmin have suspended posters yes me included for having political threads. Now you come up with this poll. Could you at least explain yourself why you are considering this?
How I would setup both:
- Calm, elevated and respectful conversation: The Satellite (news and an all-round student, alumni, and fan clubhouse feel)
- Childlike, boorish, mosh-pit-like debatery: The Den (Political Mass-Debation only)
I voted no. Itâs a good rule and testing the limits is fun.
We are Coogs we represent one of great Universities of academic learning of this land , we shouldnât be afraid of honest and open discussions about the great issues of the times. People want to show their ass letâem. Doesnât mean others have to engage them
Thatâs why I advocate a current affairs forum. Win-win.
Meaning if they do not believe the way you do politically then they should be banned? Like Facebook and Twitter?
You are such a victim. And so persecuted. Iâm impressed you can even get on the internet.
We need a firearms forum. Iâll be the first to post. The new Springfield Hellcat compact 9mm is bichinâ.
(Not sure if they make a .380 - for those vegetarians out there)
I shot it yesterday and is was screaming hellfire. Light, small, can fit in the average coogfanâs picket, and has sights to dream about. Settles down nicely after recoil and the trigger is sweet.
Next week the Smith and Wesson Shield Plus carry with Romeo optics and a courtesy check to see if it accommodates extended mag - for those that like to make more boom.
Booooooom!
Given recent mod activity, and even though the vote is 60/40 in favor of allowing political postsâŠthe actual answer is âyes, but selective posts will still be censored if they hurt right wingers feelings somehowâ.
There is moderarion bias.
im in the process of setting up politics only board. just need to carve out time to do it.
Maybe less time censoring left leaning posts would allow the carve outâŠ
Other users complain they get notified there is a new post and it turns out it is politics relaated and they dont want that notification, would that be disabled without having to change their settings?
Hopefully, this time, the Politics Board wonât be moderated by a Rice fan that condones cyberstalking and personally attacks anyone he disagrees with.
Some of us still remember that situation from Politics Board 1.0.
